We have on staff and recently on staff plenty of coaches who have past experience in being at Texas, fired by Texas, and courted by Texas. He is getting more than enough information on what that opportunity poses for him. He is still a fairly young coach. If he flames out there he is likely not a candidate here in the future. Its risky for him to go and for us to lose him.

Also, if we lose Sark we will also be losing some other pivotal assistant coaches with him, most likely Huff and possibly Wiggins, both very important recruiters. With a premium on explosive offense, the dangers of the transfer portal, coaching our recent recruits, and stage of CNS career its paramount that we hold this staff together.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
I think there's about a zero percent chance of that happening.
Then let's make a one way bet catdaddy!!! If he doesn't I don't owe you anything. But if it happens I get to send 7 of my 19 kids to yo house to raise!!! And I'll even be nice enough to give you the child tax credits on them.

Knowing how Saban feels and has expressed about former assistants raiding his staff, I’d bet there are things in place to keep them

Not really, as he is only reporting what others are reporting. That is not reporting - it is passing along a rumor.
Agree! Cecil like the others passing on the rumor are crediting Chip Brown. Rather than work their own sources, the media today piles on/passes rumors and when they are wrong, they blame the person who started it. If the “rumor” is correct, they all take credit.

" Sources with knowledge of the situation said Sarkisian is expected to accept a lucrative offer to replace Tom Herman but will coach the Crimson Tide offense in the Jan. 11 College Football Playoff Championship against Ohio State. "

This seems like more than just "passing along a rumor". Cecil has a stellar reputation as a reporter for a reason.

A leak by an agent/trustee to friendly reporter and off you go...there is no reporting today; fake news does exist. Was Sark a trial balloon to distract? Anybody checked flights to/from Austin, ND, and Tuscaloosa? Whatever, timing sucks and if Sark is a party to the chaos he can go to heck.
