Sources: Sarkisian working to have a key Alabama assistant join him at Texas
Things moved very quickly yesterday regarding the news at Texas. First, Tom Herman was let go, and then word quickly followed that Alabama offensive coordinator
I wonder if he will be the OC at Texas? Saban must be ok with it, unless he is working to keep him on the Bama staff behind the scenesThe exodus begins, again.![]()

And with Coach Mal Moore running interfernce for him. Mal could be tough when he had to.I remember thinking, "At last, a coach who has the clout to lay down the law with boosters and take absolute control of the program." Time will tell if Sark is that man in Austin.
Exactly, coaches are better coaches when they have better players.Let guys go if they want to go. At this point there are coaches across the country that would love to come here and be a part of the program.
If someone wants to parlay that into something else OR they want an easier gig, please let them go.
So if it’s Wiggins or anyone else, good luck to them. I’m sure we can replace them with relative ease.
But does anyone think that Wiggins did something special with Ruggs, Waddle, Jeudy and Smith ? Or was it the other way around. ?
all he had to do was NOT screw up with those guys...Let guys go if they want to go. At this point there are coaches across the country that would love to come here and be a part of the program.

Flood is the only good o-line coach Alabama has had other than Pendry, IMO. Great line coaches on either side of the ball are not easy to find.Hopefully, Sark will focus only on Flood since he is the one who recommended him to CNS, having been together with him in Atlanta. I guess he feels he has a legitimate claim on Flood. Maybe there will be no other major hires without CNS' tacit approval. Hope CNS wants to keep Flood
Especially if it's a job upgrade.Let guys go if they want to go.
I disagree on this one. Stoutland was also a phenomenal O-line coach, though not a great recruiter. I think Mario was the opposite of that. Great recruiter, under-achieving in the coaching department.Flood is the only good o-line coach Alabama has had other than Pendry, IMO. Edit - Sorry, Mario was also very good.
Thanks - I really had not considered Stoutland. Stoutland took over Pendry's o-line, so maybe I never gave him proper credit for what he did with that group because Pendry was still on staff and helping. He did well when he took over the same job for the Eagles, so I'll add him to the list. It does appear that Saban has done very well in this area - better than I thought.I disagree on this one. I may not be giving Cristobal enough credit. However, he was the only o-line coach where we split up coaching of the line. If I remember correctly, initially he coached the whole o-line, but after a year or two we brought in another coach (I don't remember his name now) where Cristobal coached tackles and the other gentleman coached the interior line. I attributed that change to not getting enough out of the o-line during that timeframe. It may however have been a failed experiment because we seem to have discontinued that practice. Thanks - I really had not considered Stoutland. Mario coached the 2015 o-line, which over-achieved not only helped Henry win the Heisman, but also allowed Alabama to win a national championship. He is much better than you are giving him credit for.

Milwee is OC @ Ark St.
Hands off Sark....... find your staff somewhere else
It is not unprecedented for an assistant to take a job only to be offered a better job (more money). It has happened before.Mikwee is OC @ Ark St.
They should get their info straight before . . . Never mind, it's the media.
