Okay LSU Fans!!!

Congratulations to all LSU fans. The SEC chant at the end of the game was good to hear.
I can't wait for next season to start. I will have to brake out the DVDs from Simon to get me through the off season.

Congrats to LSU, you represented yourself and the SEC proud. Way to keep the crystal in the conference. It was well played and well coached. Purple & gold in 2008.

Congrats LSU, way to represent the SEC and shut down the critics for another year about SEC being the inferior conference!!!

I visited several OSU forums and they seem to be taking it surprisingly well. I kinda think most of them have pretty well resigned themselves to the the superiority of the SEC and why shouldn't they? The SEC not only has the best talent on the field, but also the best TALENT POOL and the best coaches. Regardless of what they do, coaching, recruiting, etc, the South will always have a big edge in the talent pool.

Plus, the mindset thing is a huge factor too. CFB simply means more in the Deep South, always has and always will. :BigA::BigA::BigA:
 
Thanks for all the congratulations guys! It is an awesome day. This is my favorite rival board and you guys are very gracious. Make no mistake, that was a big win for the SEC last night as well.

But, I love knocking stuff like this out of the park:

I n my opinion, LSU SHOULD make and send a NT ring to Saban, seeing as most of the core of players (LaFell, Flynn, Dorsey, blah, blah, blah) are Saban and his staff recruits.

Lafell was a Miles recruit.

Dorsey grew up in Gonzales, Louisiana, about 20 miles from Baton Rouge and is a life long LSU fan.

The vast majority of LSU players are from Louisiana and would have come to LSU anyway.


All of the players that played last night that were Saban recruits were freshmen and non-contributors when he left. They've been coached up by Miles and his staff for 3 years. Since then, Miles has filled the team with a load of 4 and 5 star recruits that were all over the field last night. As for Saban's recruits, they were sitting on the bench watching us lose to Iowa in the Capitol One Bowl in Saban's last game.

Yeah, even though LSU rode the most talented senior class in the nation to a title, the guy who recruited them has had nothing to do with any of the success. :rolleyes:

Congrats to LSU.

Saban recruited those players but Miles would have gotten a few of them too. Of course some credit should go to the tax payers and donors for providing money to the program. The giving thanks to other people stuff is at a ridiculous level. Miles may not be the best coach ever but is isnt Coker, and he now has a ring....congrats.

He is crazy as hell though. ;)

Joe Mcknight grew up in Louisiana and I don't see him on the LSU roster. That's right, a good recruiter stole him. Notice all of the leaders on your team are Saban's recruits. Flynn, Steltz, Dorsey, Doucet, etc. They are leaders that Saban got. We are not saying Miles has nothing to do with it. The stack formation on the right on the play where there was a quick snap and thrown to a wide open TE on the left, was brilliant. But, leaders are born, not made. After today, any success Miles has is all his. We will see this year whether or not the critics of Miles are correct or not.

This is one thing that gets on my nerves. Miles and Saban had virtually identical records before they got to LSU. Saban was 35-24-1 with only one ten win season and I think three seasons of six wins. So while Miles didn't tear it up before he was at LSU, niether did Saban. Miles winning percentage at Ok.St was 57% and Saban's was around 60% i think. And if you look at where the programs were before each coach came, and after each coach left, you would notice that there is a significant drop-off in the school's performance after the coaches left.
