I know what he is saying. I’m not sure he knows what I’m saying. We all have our preferences as I said, but not all of us put out a video on YouTube and get paid for our expertise In the area of College Football! When you are a national figure and you say something like that I need you to quantify that by showing me that you know more about Alabama football prior to 2009!
But if you watch the video, it's pretty clear that the reasons Hurts is his favorite, go way beyond football. It's not a reflection at all of his expertise, because it's more about Jalen's story being one of the greatest sports stories of all time. I can't wait for the Jalen Hurts movie.

Where the land meets the sky
I'm the Josh Pate video poster.....Hurts is my favorite as well.

Pate has created something from a small start up talking about CFB to being a nationally known CFB personality....most of us would live to have a job based on our passion.

This is not a thread arguing about his favorite player. I posted this because of who he stated his favorite player is.....one of our guys.
I know his story …… it’s a discussion board and we discuss sports and give our opinions. My opinion is what it is. Otherwise, it’s movie night. I just don’t buy the persona and as a life long Bama fan I question sincerity when you have to click a video clip in which people get paid. Now, if Josh were to just login and tell us by typing like the rest of us, that’s a horse of a different color. I really think some of you are making this more than it really is.

I‘m questioning how much Alabama football Josh Pate has actually watched in his lifetime to be a "fan" and formulate his informed opinion. I mean he is an "Expert" on College Football, correct? The original topic is about Josh Pate. Unless, you're Josh Pate?
Thank you. This clarifies your point.

If you think the Jalen Hurts story is good, then i think you guys need to go back and watch film on Michael Nysewander. Wasn't the biggest, wasn't the fastest, but always seemed to be in the right place at the right time and make a play. IMO, he has the textbook piece of film on how to seal the edge block.

I never even saw Henry score on this play, that block was that good... Ultimate team player and did everything asked of him....

So Michael, if you get a chance to read this, you got my vote for all-time Fav Bama Player, and I've watched Bama football for 50 years or so...

Mine as well. Especially once he decided to return for 2018 season despite going to backup role. Ever since, I knew in whatever field he was going to work in (playing, coaching or outside sports), he would always be one of the great ones. He's doing it in the most difficult league of sports there is. Very proud of him. And tbh, I was more happy for him winning that SEC Championship than I actually was for UA -- just for one day.

Him leading that comeback vs UGA in the 2018 SECCG is a Top 5 Alabama moment for me.

My reaction to the highlights always mirrors CNS on field interview with his arm around Jalen.
