According to reports today in the Advocate, Ryan Perrilloux was supposed to make his first appearance at Spring Practice on Monday when LSU returned to the practice field.

Only problem: Perrilloux was absent... again. According to the Advocate, Athletic media relations director Michael Bonnette said his continuing absence is the result of unfilled obligations.

Michael Bonnette said:
He has not fulfilled some obligations that were set by Coach Miles in order to return to practice. He has not regained practice privileges and will not until he fulfills the requirements set by Coach.
Click here for the whole article.

Maybe some of our LSU fans on here can give us a bit more insight and updates into this. In fact, that was the one and only reason I posted this. So please, don't turn this into another Perrilloux / Miles / Discipline thread. That was kind of fun the first 29 times we did it, but it's old now, and really all of the arguments that could be made on both sides have been fully beaten to death by this point.

Re: The Advocate: Perrilloux Absent... Again

RP is a piece of work. When will this finally end???

Apocryphal stories are the best, since even when they may not be completely true their semantic strength holds up most of the time. Why? Because somewhere in that crusty Combo of potential fiction lies the delicious nacho-flavored vegetable shortening of truth.

Like that, times ten.We received this story about club-rockin’, alleged money-launderin’, baby-kissin’, wife-stealin’, and wheelin’ and dealin’ Ryan Perrilloux, LSU qb and bayou sybarite. The following takes place in a strip club, and has been edited to include two abbreviated profanities and protect the identities of those who may have seen it.

SCENE! And in (silent finger count 3-2-1…)

West BR strip joint last week when RP and Shomari Clemons came in. The two of them behaved themselves (evidently smart enough to know that being tigers won’t keep them from getting an ... whipping if they screw up in a bar. Come to think of it, RP has personal experience with that.) RP told the guy that he is still on the team and will be starting QB next fall.

Then as RP is leaving he yells at the top of his lungs “You (expletive deleted) are looking at the next 60 (expletive deleted) Million Dollar Man!”

LSU fans should treasure the golden jewel they have, though: a rampaging jewel of a man-beast with passions for all the finest things in life. His strip clubs, you must open them to him; your Hennessy and Hypnotiq, you must mix into a tasty green brew for him. Your abundantly gifted ladies of pleasing proportions, you must bring to his crib in numbers. His empire shall be called Perrilousiana, and it will be be flyer than the United States Air Force high on mushrooms. All else is but frippery, my friends. Let the luxuriaciousness begin.

Re: The Advocate: Perrilloux Absent... Again

According to this;
Monday’s practice was an addition to the original spring schedule, and because of class obligations a number of players weren’t present for the 90-minute workout in shorts and helmets.

Of the players present, defensive tackle Charles Alexander and linebacker Jacob Cutrera wore green no-contact jerseys.

LSU will return for a full-contact practice today and again Thursday.
this was a last-minute practice and a number of players no-showed for it because of classes/scheduling conflicts. This whole article may be nothing but slow-day filler fodder. Today if he doesn't show, then some traction may be added to the speculation.

Re: The Advocate: Perrilloux Absent... Again

Don't believe everything you read on sports comedy blogsites. Here is the word around Baton Rouge:

1. Several players missed that practice because school is back in session and they had excused absences.

2. Perrilloux has not been sunning in Acapulco during his suspension. He has been participating in extra classwork and makeup workouts as a requirement of getting his suspension lifted. Some who have played basketball with him say he's a bit out of shape and he has been seen running the steps in Tiger Stadium. He may not be finished with Les' required makeup workouts yet.

3. Perrilloux recently became a father.

4. It's April 1. Take any quote you see today with a grain of salt.

So. Using this logic, we should only talk nice-nice about the barn and hillbilly u as well.

Re: The Advocate: Perrilloux Absent... Again

Not to begin chasing rabbits but personally I don't see LSU missing much of a beat if RP doesn't ever step foot behind center for them again. He's good but he's not that good. He doesn't dictate whether they rise or fall. The scary thing is it might be in LSU's best interest if he doesn't come back. When he's in there you know Crowton is going to (without realizing it) go out of his way to maximize his talent. Meaning someone else's touches will sacrifice.

What's harder to defend. One RP or two more four/five star receivers?

What a waste. This kid has the world handed to him and all he can do is waste the opportunity. :mad2:

Re: Perrilloux is out

this guy may be runnin' with Keith McCants in 5 or 6 years if he doesn't have a life changing experience and wake up to the opportunity he has before him!
this is no way for the supposed leader of your football team to act! WOW!that is if its true!

I broke my own proposal about posting relevant to RP.
