I was quite surprised to see him listed in the voting for the All-Wells Team. If voted on the team, I wonder what the odds are that he comes back to campus to sign autographs.

Some of the positions are really tough choices. It makes you realize how many quality players we have had over the last 10 years.

We've actually been selecting our own All-Wells Era teams on this board for about three years now. However, if I were in charge of the new rolltide.com poll, there is no way Peter Stonard or Scott Muprhy would have even been on the ballot. Plus, I would have had Andy Phillips at shortstop instead of third. Both Phillips and Brent Boyd deserve first team recognition, but unfortunately that won't happen.

I agree. Andy should have been slotted in the shortstop position. Brent played third his entire career. And you are exactly right about the other two. No player(s) who transfered out to play for another team should be included with such an elite group. IMO it taints the ballot.
