By that logic Alabama only scored 10 against LSU and needed help to do that
When you're team is ranked #1 at least once for NINE straight years and are LITERALLY every team's Super Bowl then come back with that statement. That was also a stretch that had Bama play SIX straight bowl teams with 4 ranked in the top 25 and half on the road. It is easy to take pot shots but the brand of football really is so different. What many don't get is that the line play is so physical in the SEC on both sides. Frankly the fact that UW had started running the ball and hired COach Peterson is why y'all are where you are. He's a gem and knows where fball is won. It's all about the LOS. Trust me, you'll find out if you are there yet on Sat. He's done a great job getting the DL and OL up to snuff because y'all have been atrocious there for nearly a decade and a half. When teams play in the trenches week after week it takes a huge toll. It wears even the best down. It is why the NFL has two bye weeks. Bama was thought by most to lose somewhere during that stretch but got stronger. LSU/Bama is just a different animal. The shear talent on the field is insane and it is brutal competition and as committed as they are to the run if love to see what your team's defense would do. I have a feeling we'll see what it would have looked like Sat. I give y'all props for making the CFP and wish y'all program nothing but the best after 12/31 ;).

Y'all wanted Bama...wish granted

Bama will likely try to control the pace of the game and they should be able to. I know I wouldn't look to let CCP dip into his bag of tricks if I didn't have to. I could see a quick start by UW and a quick score. Then again, ask Florida how the defense for Bama responded:)

I think Washington's QB is accurate enough to move the ball around and Peterson is smart enough to run plays that can isolate his talent and get them some favorable matchups. I think their D is fast and scrappy and can cause us problems. We have played three teams in the CFP the last few years, and the other two offenses that were creative and moved the ball around both gave us fits and scored 40+ points. I don't think Washington will score 40, but I do think they are talented enough to cause us some frustration.
Bama 30
Washington 23

I just thought about something. Time of possession will be the key. To keep Washington from getting the ball, I think we'll elect to get ball in 2nd half if we win the toss. What we probably will do is set up the play where we might just take over in 2nd or 3rd quarter by running ball. I expect Bo to play little more in second half with Jacob behind him. Something tells me we'll have two running backs over 100 yard rushing. I would like to change the score to 28-10.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how can a team that could barely score 13 on USC's defense manage to score 24 or more points against Bama's. Please help me out.

Vandy held Ole Miss to 17, so does that mean their defense is a whole lot better than ours? Comparisons don't always work, but I also hope we just over power UW. However, when making predictions I tend to down play our abilities and build up the opponent. Now, secretly I may think certain things, but I almost always make very conservative predictions. I was raised listening to Coach Bryant build up opponents, so it probably rubbed off.

There's a problem with that. By the time they played Ole Miss, Ole Miss looked like The Replacements. Everybody was out.

CCP is an offensive minded guy and he's had a month to prepare. I know the preparation thing can be said for both sides, but his opportunity to study and exploit any weaknesses might result in a couple of first half TDs. That's what some people are thinking, maybe.

Luckily for Bama, we have the best in the business. Any perceived weaknesses should have been cleared up. They could exploit the middle, but that will still be hard.

Would you believe going from 13 to 20 with a late TD that USC could not afford to give up? USC led 17-13 at the end of the third quarter. Bama will be ahead 40-13 in the fourth quarter. Bama wins 40-20!
