In your opinion, are there any players on the team who deserve more credit than they are getting?

Offensively, Drew Davis. He's the 'forgotten' returning starter on the OL.

Defensively, Zo Washington. He doesn't show up in the stat column a lot, but he's occupying blocks, filling his gaps, and is a big part of the amazing run defense.

Honorable mention: Eryk Anders. Second on the team in tackles, and everyone forgets about him when it comes to McClain and Hightower.

I was thinking Eryk Anders too.
Also, Colin Peek on offense and Kareem Jackson on the "D"

I was also thinking Eryk Anders. He has 16 tackles so far for the season. Rolando McClain is the only player with more, and I think he has 18.

He may not have many sacks this year, but he seems to be doing a good job of pressuring the QBs.

If Grant is the worst thing that can happen at tailback, I feel pretty good. He knows the schemes and is rock solid when he's in the game. If the game's on the line just knowing the third string back is that capable is very rare.

I'd say Anders deserves more credit, while Grant deserves more touches.

The first of the two is more easily done - there are only so many offensive snaps in a game...

A few that come to mind...PJ Fitzgerald, Drew Davis, Lorenzo Washington.
I've gone back and watched our three games a couple of times and Davis has done well for himself. He may not handle the speed rushers well for too long at a time, but because GMac gets the ball out so quickly it helps to negate that weakness.

He has become an extremely solid run-blocker, too. He moves very well into the second level and finds his target(s). Generally speaking, that's all you could ask for in a RT. Good job, Drew!

I think on special teams Woodson has been a surprise and even though we have stunk it up a couple of times he is willing to blast in there and so is Chris Jordan..
Offensively I have to say the entire OL sure they get some pats on the head but how many of us were thinking gloom and doom before the season started?? This may not be last years OL but they have held their own and to me they are more mobile and create better running lanes outside...
Defensively= Woodall has done a pretty dang good job for me..... No one ever says his name which to me says he is doing his job and not getting beat.

Eryk Anders. In addition to all the takles, so many times I see him putting real pressure on the QB, the QB throws then I see Anders chasing the ball and getting in on or almost getting in on the tackle.

Preston Dial. He may miss a few, but I see him making a lot of blocks on successful running plays.

Fitzgerald. Really fantastic job, not too often acknowledged.

Well really, the whole OL, I think is ahead of where we thought they would be. But individually, I think Vlachos has done a dang good job filling some big shoes.

How's about a hand for our leading receiver? Mike McCoy.
He gets my vote. Not because he's leading the team in receptions, but because establishing himself as a receiving threat the last few games will be awesome for Julio when he comes back. Teams will know that McCoy is a threat to catch the ball and make plays, which means less double teams for Julio each game.

To me, it's definitely McElroy. I know he's already getting some deserved attention but I think he's not getting enough. A lot has been talked about his accuracy and football smarts, but no one talks about his awareness in the pocket. He's got that "feel" for the pressure and is very good at either dumping it off or wait till the last minute to make the throw while taking the hit. Against North Texas, his TD run came when he sensed pressure from his blind side. I don't know his sack numbers but I bet it has been a big improvement from Wilson era.
