And this makes a bunch of years in a row that, that is true.
While that’s certainly an indictment of our political leaders, it’s not a valid excuse for Trump’s failed promises and atrocious lies — which have been much more egregious and prolific (I know you didn’t say it excused Trump’s actions, but this is often used by his supporters and haters of the Democratic Party as a way to deflect responsibility from DJT).

I didn't say that it was. I was pointing out that we've had terrible leadership at all levels spanning across both parties.

MAGA would like this to be the narrative. Yet, Democrats are going to be in a good position next November, regardless of what the AOC wing shouts. If the election were held today, I suspect that it would be a blue tsunami.
I don't know, man. The Schumer shutdown has been a bad look except for the MSNBC watchers. To be honest, I think Trump doesn't realize that populism DOES have a shelf-life and his is close to expiring. This is why his bizarre shift towards Conservative Inc could very well be his undoing. Americans rejected the establishment GOP for a reason, but their pattern recognition leaves much to be desired because this is what happened in his first term.

I mean, yeah, I get it. McConnell held the impeachment over his head like the sword of Damocles, but he doesn't have that excuse now.

my wife has been watching a pbs documentary on that fool, and man, what a moronic spoiled brat.

I started following him when he was working with he was working with Riverkeeper and the NRDC(National Resources Defense Council). He was very articulate at the time on issues such as water quality, river quality, etc.

But then, a few years later, he got on the anti-vaccine kick, and I thought he had lost him mind then.

Before then, I always thought he might be presidential material. But brain worms are brain worms.
