NyBamaFan, I agree with that. Philly is up there for bad airports too, especially flying US Air. And with Philly to O'hare, you have no chance. I flew O'Hare to Philly one time. I think my plane was delayed for 4 hours.

You should try and check Midway (Southwest). I haven't ever had a problem with connecting through there.

You're JUST NOW discovering that??? If an ATC sneezes there's a 30-minute delay at ORD. Nevermind a driving snowstorm that forces a FedEx plane off the runway there.

Seriously, good luck. I've done about 140,000 miles this year so I know what you're going through.

Gee. There's no reason for anyone in Tuscaloosa (forecast high for Saturday 57 degrees) to go to Miami (forecast high for Saturday 84 degrees). Especially not on a weekend.

Quick notes on watching planes:

1. We're not going to send a King Air (or anything less for that matter) to pick up our next head coach. Look for Bryant Jr's plane to be used only when the UA jet doesnt have the range to make the flight non-stop (this is why Price flew in on Bryant's jet but Shula came in on 1UA). We'll send 1UA or 75TP.

2. NONE of our current candidates are going to interview tonight or tomorrow. They are all involved with games.

3. With Neinas involved, we're not going to have the same process as we had before. There's going to be nobody until there's THE candidate, and it's going to look much more like the Fran situation than anything else. There's going to be ONE flight to get ONE coach, bring him in for an "interview" and he'll be announced as the coach that same day.

4. When they do get a candidate, you're going to know who it is far in advance of the jet moving around.

Not to be too cynical (look at my other posts - I'm not that cynical a guy) but why would Marve want to come to UA? He wants to be a QB. We have JPW starting for his redshirt and freshman years, then McElroy starting during Marve's Sophomore and Junior years, meaning he sees action for only one year or, at best, has to compete against McElroy for two years.

Not to mention his relationship was with CMS.

I don't see how we're going to get a top QB like Marve to come to UA in this class. Kids today that are of that caliber expect to play in their redshirt Sophomore years.

Thats what I thought. Both planes are pretty much the same just different models with different fuel consumption numbers, but pretty much the same. Thats 1st year Aerospace Engineering stuff.:wink:

Well IMHO Marve is better than McElroy, comparable arm and better mobility and after a redshirt year he would be #2 on the depth chart behind JPW. And become a starter his redshirt soph year. Nothing is really set in stone until he goes through the practices though.

Just Saw this one on Tidesports.com

N27RC has been to Ft. Worth and back more than once and is set to land back in Tuscaloosa 58 minutes ago from Dothan. This is plane was active during the other coaching searches.


Today, N171WJ has been to Tuscaloosa from Ft. Worth and is scheduled to return to Ft. Worth today at 1:46 pm.

any ideas?

It also appears that alot of the string pullers from Mobile, Gulf Shores etc are or will be there at some point today in Tuscaloosa?
