To protect himself for the NFL Draft.

He's shown multiple times in the past that he's selfish.

But it's a non issue because the committee is going to put Bama in at #11 or #12 and he will play.

Trevon Diggs and Terrell Lewis opted out of the Citrus Bowl following the 2019 season.

We haven't had a Captain do it to my knowledge.

Bama has luckily not missed many CFBP fields and only really 2019 and 2022 since opt outs really became a thing.

From what I've seen on Facebook and X, there seems to be a few who can't get passed the loss to Okie. They're allowing their anger to control their thoughts on Bama in the playoff.

I honestly am not that invested in it. I'd be happier in the playoffs but I don't think I'd be remotely upset if we don't get in

After two years as our starting QB, everyone knows JM's strengths and weaknesses. About the only thing that might affect his status at this point would be an injury.

I honestly can’t fathom the mindset of anything other than wanting the playoff. The OP question was “where do you want bama in the post season” shouldn’t everyone’s answer be playoff. Any competitor couldn’t think of anything else other than playing to win and be the best. Just seems like a poor mindset for anything else.

For anyone thinking they don’t deserve it is just absurd. They put in thousands of hours working towards it and people have the audacity to say they don’t deserve it. Fans who haven’t put in anything other than judgment. This fan base then didn’t even listen to Saban much less anyone else successful.
