That's my biggest concern too. That flu thing is something beyond our control.I agree if the flu bug doesn't weaken us down to their level. I am looking for the tide to roll as they did during the Bryant days.
That is what I fear the most. Our inexperience can really bite us in the rear in this game. I really wish we were playing a couple of easy games to start the year this year. I will still pick Bama 20-16, but I don't feel comfortable about this game at all.17 to 10 Virginia Tech. Their Defense is solid as is Bamas..i just feel the inexperience at the Oline position (what Clemson had last year vs ya'll) will ultimately hurt Bama vs a Bud Foster Blitz defense. Which will keep the Tides D on the field most the game..enough for us to put up 10 pts with the offense and followed by a defensive/special teams TD. Heres to a good game and I hope Cody gets better. I want everyone healthy for this one!
I would love to have one night with Cindy Crawford and Pamela Anderson, as I'm sure you'd like to see two Gobbler rushing TD's, in one night, against Bama.VT24
2 runnings tds
1 punt return/punt block
field goal after int in bama territory
Bama13
1 bomb to Julio on broken coverage
1 Ingrim td And o yea, we block your PAT
So that I will understand? OK, thanks for clearing that up for me. Got a feeling Taylor might break a Tie-Rod if he runs on the BAMA defense. Hope not but its not smart for any QB to run on the Tide. He is not much of a passer. 2TD's last season and 7 INTS. :BigA:Wow that was some messed up English.
But so that you will understand.
"Haven't you seen how we score?"
And in case you didn't understand; I am asking a question as to whether or not you have seen that we score td's when Taylor runs around.
Scamper? Did you really just say 'scamper' on a football board? You haven't seen you we score on offense... we only have one way... and its with Tyrod scampering around and ending up in the endzone.
Bama: 3
Virginia Tech: 2
Excellent point on the hazards of inexperienced running backs.Tyrod's poor passing abilty and having a freshman rb not being able to read our blitzing is gonna be to much to overcome.

A la '09 AU vs. MSU? That's the kind of game that makes you think both teams should just be taken out and shot...Ha, at least we'd know it was a ugly, ugly game. Could it not be with a score like this?
Holy Toledo, check the first half stats.I was trying to think back to a time when a highly-ranked VaTech team met a highly-ranked SEC early in the year and can't help but hope for a similar outcome to this...![]()
I suffered through watching that game in the Mellow Mushroom in Tuscaloosa after the Alabama game.A la '09 AU vs. MSU? That's the kind of game that makes you think both teams should just be taken out and shot...![]()
I agree that Bama DOES NOT allow VT to block a kick. I'm pretty sure the Bama special teams have done some extra prep for this phase of the game. If we were catching VT sandwiched in between other games during the regular season I'd be much more worried. Therefore, VT's noted special team abilities will be neautralized during this game and I think that favors Bama!Bama 24

VT will not have a blocked punt or FG in the game.
