Do you think they can run the ball any better on us than LSU '07? I don't think so, and if you can't run the ball, you've got problems.Holy Toledo, check the first half stats.
....................VT...LSU
Rushing yds..23....171
Passing yds..17....156
Total yds.......40....327
VT did not cross the 50 yard line.
Now, I'm not arguing that this Alabama team is LSU 2007, but dang, talk about getting exposed on a national stage.
If Bama leads 13-0 after 3 quarters good luck on coming back in the 4th! The only team to do that last year was UF and it took Superman going something like 7-7 in the fourth quarter. I'll take the odds that VT is not as good as the Gators, Tyrod is not as good as Tebow, and that that the Bama D is going to be even better this year!17-13 Virginia Tech
Bama lead 13-0 after 3 quarters
VT gets a FG and 2 long TDs by Tyrod Taylor in the Forth Quarter
17-13 Virginia Tech
Bama lead 13-0 after 3 quarters
VT gets a FG and 2 long TDs by Tyrod Taylor in the Forth Quarter
This looks like a solid prediction, score-wise I mean. I'm taking Bama, too, but I mention your post Cat cause I've noticed the "experts" have the over/under at 38 points.Bama 24
Vtech 13
I went to Wal-mart today and not one person was wearing anything Va Tech, and like you said, Richmond is the heart of Va Tech country. But we both know how apathetic this area is to sports as well, allowing the Braves to move to Gwinnett, losing the Renegades, it goes on and on.I am deep in VT country and they don't seem to take football as seriously here...hardly any talk on the radio and very little in the papers or on sports during the news....although there was a nice big write up about Bama a couple of days ago.
Lemme give my prediction:
Bama 35
VT 17
I came here to post the question, what are the VT fans predictions? do they foresee a blowout by VT or a real close nail biter? Since most Virginians don't take their football very seriously there is no point in my asking.I went to Wal-mart today and not one person was wearing anything Va Tech, and like you said, Richmond is the heart of Va Tech country. Didn't mean to imply that. Football is taken seriously up here, with the Redskins and the Hokies to a degree. Even the UVA fans got into it when the Cavs were averaging 8-9 wins a year in the early 90s.I came here to post the question, what are the VT fans predictions? do they foresee a blowout by VT or a real close nail biter? Bama 17
VT 10
I see VT scoring a TD, but not by Tyrod Taylor running against our defense-maybe special teams or even a pass. For our VT colleagues, Clemson gained "zero" net yards against our defense last year-yes, that's "0". And they had "Thunder and Lightening".
As for Alabama, we start slowly while the O-line gets its act together and finish stronger...:BigA:
