If one of our players made Fairleys gesture following a brawl....it wouldn't be necessary for the league to suspend him.

However, Chizik promotes that kind of crap! Before the game Cam Newton had his own personal police escort and was sent out on the field alone to ham it up with "the family" in the stands before remainder of team came out. Guess part of that $200,000 also included personal promotion fees.

Nick Fairley's pose, after Trooper Taylor appears to congratulate him, shows just what a piece of crap he is. I posted that video and a comment about how I want no part of class if THAT is what class is. I also said that some of the auburn family can't see beyond the end of their noses and if anyone is offended, then their vision probably ends at the tip of their noses.

I have seen several "family takes up for family" comments, but when family is WRONG, you don't take up for them. You love them, but you do not condone their wrong behavior just because they are family.

And this is what I love about Coach Saban. I remember Marquis Maze's first collegiate touchdown and the pose after. Coach Saban chewed him good. Has he, or any of our players, done anything since? Nope. Or at least not that I can recall. (I do remember of couple of them turning flips as they crossed the goal line, and I HATE it.)

After reviewing the video, it seems to me that Trooper Taylor was simply trying to get Fairley to the sidelines so there would be no risk of his picking up a suspension for the Iron Bowl. Taylor's extended hand - which I think Fairley took for a congratulatory jesture - seemed to me to be a "cordoning off" gesture to shepherd Fairley to the sidelines.

If the UGA players were trying to "get" Fairley, they did a poor job of it.

Hopefully all this commotion will cause the refs to be more aware of dirty play in a couple of weeks.

And NO, I hope Bama players NEVER stoop to Fairley's level. There's a reason they're Auburn and we're Alabama.

It's a shame really. Fairley's talent is such that he could play clean and still be a dominating player.

I hope so too. It well could. It was obvious if the officials had make a couple of personal foul/unnecessary roughness calls after earlier dirty hits on the QB, the game would probably have been more fairly played. The SEC probably noted such.

I also believe Fairley benefited from a ticky tack chop block call. It appeared to me Fairley had to overextend himself to even engage the up blocker. If you want to see real chop blocks perfectly executed, just watch the Barn now and then.

A good friend of mine from high school made the unfortunate choice of attending All-barn, and last time I spoke to him, he was telling me about a friend of his who ended up playing against Fairley in a basketball pick up game, and thought Fairley was actually going to attack him if he lost. Sounds like roid rage to me, or at least serious anger management issues, since he's apparently like that off the football field as well.

Looked that to me as well--it's that goofy-azz skipping of Taylor's that makes it look weird, though, like he's not in that big of a hurry.

Fairley's play has been common knowledge from the beginning of the season; I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

I would be embarrassed to see one of Bama's coaches act the way that Trooper Taylor acts. I just really cannot stand the Barn. I hate everything about them!!!!!!

If I'm not mistaken I believe fairley had bad hits on LSU's Jefferson, also put Ky.'s QB out and also Arky's QB out of the game. I remember posting something about this very thing a couple weeks ago. I think if he continues with his antics and tries to put McElroy out in the IB the Bama fans should look around and find a fan in AU attire and beat the snot out of them. Maybe CNS will come up with a plan like maybe wetting their sideline down all night the night before the game.

He's a sorry piece of poo and the SEC should come down hard on him. He should have been ejected for spearing Murray in the back, that was a blatant example of a player deliberately trying to injure another player and he does crap like that all the time. It's apparent that his coaches aren't going to do anything about it, (except high five him) so it's up to the league.

I can't wait til Karma bites him in the butt, and it will. I know it's sounds bad, but I wouldn't care if he gets a career ending injury, poetic justice.

I like the fact that Danielson made a point to bring up Fairley's dirty play to the TV audience, so that everybody in the whole country that was watching knows how dirty he is.

He got called for the late hit on Murray, but he certainly should have been ejected for blatantly leading with his helmet.
