Obviously this list is a very early speculation of Bama's top targets for 2006. In the next 3 or 4 months, particularly after the May evaulation period and the summer camps we will get a better idea of the top targets and where they are leaning.

Commits: Nikita Stover and Jerami Holifield

Guys reporting scholly offers:
Tim Tebow, Terrell Zachery, Brian Callahan, Neil Caudle, Bart Eddins, Raven Gray, Maurice Hurt, Jacques McClendon, Reginald Stokes, Andre Smith, Chris Paul-Etienne, Jemarcus Ricks, Toryan Smith, Deandre McDaniel

Early battles?
There's gonna be a lot of talk about QB Tim Tebow. He could go any where he wants. Parents are Gators, but he is comfortable with CMS and staff and we have Oakley. Might be a UF/Bama battle.

OL Andre Smith might be a early Bama/FSU battle.

WR Terrell Zachery is going to be a Bama/Barn/FSU battle. Rivals article says Barn is a little ahead.

CB/S Deandre McDaniel, Upchurch's teammate, will be another Bama/FSU battle.

DE Reginald Stokes "only wear's Crimson" so I think he'll end up at Bama.

QB Chris Smelley is Bama bound with an offer.

RB Randy Dupree would likely be Bama bound with an offer.

LB Toryan Smith has Bama as a slight #1 ahead of UMD and UGA.

LB LeBrandon Glover has Bama in top 3.

RB/FB Justin Robertson from CA is high on Bama.

OL Jemarcus Ricks will be a Bama/Barn/FSU battle.

like Surf said....early speculation

Athlete:
Xavier Carroll, Prattville

Not to nitpick but Carroll actually plays for Atuagaville, not Prattville. He is an incredible athlete who is probably as good a B-ball prospect as football. I think he would look real good wearing that number 2 jersey :)

Thanks for the correction of his hometown to Autaugaville. I was only off by about 15 miles. ;)

Alabama Linebacker is Wide Open

Alabama Linebacker is Wide Open
Tim Rawlinson, from Prattville High School, is one of the best defensive players in Alabama for the Class of 2006. He was named MVP of the Junior All-Star game held in December. Several SEC schools are showing strong interest.

"I am receiving mail from Auburn, LSU, and Alabama. Auburn has been sending me the most mail. I have not received any offers," said Tim Rawlinson.

Tim is a very good player who played on an excellent team last year. The Defensive Line had some excellent players who really occupied the OL attention however. This allowed Tim to use his excellent speed to track down the ballcarrier without fighting through multiple blockers. Tim will get a chance to prove this year that he can still perform at a high level while facing the offenses priority blocking. I think he will handle it fine. Considering our needs for LBs next year he would be a good recruit to focus on. I would HATE to see him end up AU considering our track record at Prattville. Hopefully time at camp will convince him the best place for him is on the field of Bryant-Denny!

I just got a feeling that the next class with be one of the top classes in the nation. RTR

I agree. If we keep hanging around the top-15, eventually we will ascend to the top 5/6 in recruiting. I think we are way more visible (and desirable) to blue-chippers than we were two years ago...credit to Shula.
