I would HATE to see him end up AU considering our track record at Prattville. Hopefully time at camp will convince him the best place for him is on the field of Bryant-Denny!

Let's hope not. Prattville is a reliable pipeline that sends good high school football players into the UA Program.

Not only is Andre Smith big and nasty. He is also very talented and he made a big impression at the US Army Junior Combine. It looks like Smith could be Bama's top offensive line prospect followed closely by Maurice Hurt and Jermarcus Ricks.

San Antonio, Tex.--Out of more than 600 players participating in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Junior Combine, the best of the best proved to be a talented offensive lineman from the state of Alabama.

Massive Andre Smith from Huffman High School in Birmingham was a dominant figure for the Vikings as a junior and that carried over this week when he wowed prospects from around the country with his combination of size and speed.
Measuring in at 6-3, 5/8, 315 pounds, Smith ran an electronic 40-yard dash time of 5.1 seconds in the 40-yard dash on Saturday night on a slow track and on Sunday handled himself well in the one-on-one portion of the combine in pass rushing drills. The performance was good enough to earn him the Reebok Most Outstanding Athlete of the weekend, an honor he says comes from an outside source.

Actually strange enough they are from two different schools in Millbrook. It is very unusual that a town as small as Millbrook has two talented QBs graduating the same year. Joseph Sanders is from Stanhope Elmore HS and Philip Moore is from Edgewood HS.

Does anyone recognize this picture from Millbrook? I will give you a hint it has something to do with telling a tall tale.

A movie filmed in Millbrook area about 2-3 years ago with "Fish" in the title..........can't recall the actual name of the movie though..........

I haven't seen it yet......

So back to the subject of the Thread.......how good are those boys from Millbrook and what is their interest level in the Tide? :conf3:

Big Fish. Most of the movie was filmed in Elmore County.

Anyway, Edgewood Academy is a private school in Elmore, AL (between Millbrook and Wetumpka). More than likely he lives in Millbrook but goes to Edgewood.

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering how a town the size of Millbrook would have two High Schools. My Grandfather and his family are from just up the road from Millbrook in Deatsville.

PlanetBuckeye.com article "The Few, The Proud, The Offered" said that Aaron Brown is the epitome of a scholar athlete. He is another very talented OL in what appears to be a very deep Ohio pool. He is being shown the first class treatment, and is widely considered to be a heavy Buckeye lean.

BearCatInsider.com Cat Scratch said that Aaron Brown just may be the hottest prospect from Ohio in the class of 2006.
