“Not showing up to stuff, doing whatever they want in practice, not putting in the film work. Etc. You are watching it unfold before your eyes. Watch the sidelines, watch the body language.”

Lines up with dippre’s comments today.
I'd clean out their locker room tonight and call and tell them all "bye!"

Tonight is too soon!

We told our starting QB to leave after last season because he wanted to be guaranteed the starting job. We had a starter on our O Line get benched last year for complaining about NIL inequity on the team. Yes - this is killing every top team in one way or another.
How's the snapping? Is it true that McLaughlin hasn't really had any snapping issues at Ohio State? I haven't really gotten to see them play much this year.

The more I think about it, the more I believe this is correct. Will CKD have to find his way in the SEC and realize every week it’s a dog fight? Absolutely.

He had a quote along these lines this week about every week being fine line winning and losing, and I really don’t want to hear that the wrong way - because I think we’ve shown that with our talent being prepared and conditioned to win week and out, means we can dominate and be prepared to tough those low weeks, which tended be more about mentally ready and motivated - not not prepared.

This year may resemble 2007 more than it seems. Of course, our talent level now is light years ahead of 2007. But the biggest issue with that team - and it appears with this one - was primarily too many turds in the locker room. And no matter the underlying cause, you can only polish a turd so much. Saban knew it, DeBoer better figure it out.

Horrible time, but think the point up the message here was we needed that critical third down and Klaw got delivered another terrible pass, then tn player on him while he was already stewing. Agree team mentality needs to to stronger and more situationally aware, just his comment seemed to be about where it was boiling up from
I’ll expand this a little further: Law was going back to the huddle and the UT DB ran up to him and got in his face. Where was the flag for that. Fast forward and Law shoves him and is immediately struck in the face mask by the DB. So, you penalize one but not the other? Could the officials not have huddled up like in the UGA vs Texas game and gotten it right? The SEC is trying obviously to make sure two teams not named Bama and UGA aren’t in the SEC Championship Game.

So the more I think about USF last year the more I think that was the turning point for Saban hanging it up. It also means CKD probably has his hands full more than we know if the goat himself couldn’t manage it correctly.
I’m honestly flabbergasted in how he handled it, and I was at the time. I thought for sure coming out of that game Ty would be the starter because he had played well enough for it. JessN even wrote as much in his post game recap. Then the following Monday, Milroe was named the starter and we all got gaslit into a some convoluted theory of Saban proving something to the fans.

An earlier Saban imo would have never let that ride. So aside from the tragedy of a clique of selfish players killing the greatest dynasty in college football, if that was how Saban handled it it is probably good that he retired because the future would have been downhill, Bobby Bowden style.
