With the news of Urban stepping down, the Dee Hart situation should get real interesting.

Yeah, I wonder how much this changes things for Hart now that Urban is gone. Probably depends on who they bring in and how quickly they get a new head coach.

Jam you have been pretty adament about Crowell ending up at bama. Is there room with what few spots we have left for both? I mean we are still looking good for Cyrus and Dickson and a few others. Also, with the recent reports of IC leaning to GA do you believe them or you still think we land him?

I will let Jam answer for himself but the latest I heard is that the staff feels real good about their chances of signing Crowell. He has been back and forth between UGA (he grew up a childhood Bulldog fan) and Bama so much it is hard to keep track of it. Reportedly after his recent visit to UGA for the GT game, some folks are saying that he is now leaning to UGA. If that is the case then obviously that could change between now and NSD. I do think Bama will sign him until he actually comes out and says differently.

As far as Hart goes, who knows what to believe. I think he will eventually decommit from UM after CRR is fired and that Bama has a good chance to sign him. It appears this one will just have to play out.

its has been rumored that our coaching staff wants 2 rbs in this class and there is the potential we would take 3 if one was hart considering his ability to play wr.

AJ McCarron spent a lot of time with Trent Richardson. He drove over from Mobile to be at TR's signing day conference. I think that Julio Jones may have gone with him. I remember reading about AJ and someone else going down for it. Not a strange thing at all.

First thanks CS. Yes i still think Crowell to bama. Saban wants two backs in this class that is obvious. And yes we will and have had a spot for both of them. Its always a numbers game and we don't really know how many spots we have or who is on scholarship. Also I am starting to feel better than i have been about clowney. Also AC leonard is a name that should be followed very very closely over the next month as the number 2 juco in the nation.

Julio was not in that class, he was in the class before. Fluker went with AJ to TR's signing day.

This could be an interesting and exciting NSD this year. Especially if there are some other coaching changes in the SEC. If Mullen or Petrino gets the UF job, that opens up more opportunity for decommits. If Mahlzahn leaves for a head coaching job, that will open up spots at AU as well.

so other than dickson signing with us (and im not so sure about crowell) who else do you see us snatching by NSD?

Nothing new but the more I observe this situation the more I think our staff doesn't want to accept his commitment right now. I believe they don't want to scare away Crowell or Hill. Like RTP said it makes no sense not to accept him as an early enrollee because he could count towards either class. Now if he's willing to wait then I think we would still take him but I don't know what he's gonna do at this point.

50/50, IMO, because you don't de-commit unless you have a reason to.

well just read on espnu alabama clubhouse section that he is leaning toward us now would we take him this early? and will it affect crowell or does that mean we missed crowell? i personally thinks he goes to georgia.
