Re: RB TJ Yeldon Updates (AU commitment)

Would the staff have any desire to sign Ricky Parks if he gives them a call? Some consider him to be the #1 TE in this class.

Re: RB TJ Yeldon Updates (AU commitment)

Two issues here with respect to the impact Malzahn departure's has on Yeldon:

(1) Was Malzahn's presence a dealbreaker for Yeldon?

(2) Given that Trooper would likely leave if he's not given the OC job, is Trooper's presence a dealbreaker for Yeldon?

If Yeldon ends up here it would be a shock. With Dyer more than likely gone TJ is instantly "the man".

Yeldon would be smart to get off the sinking ship that is AU football right now. They just lost their OC who did an OK job with the absolute lack of talent they have down there. Their offensive line is not very good. Yeldon could be "the Man" at Western Gawga U or he could be the most talked about RB in the country on a potential national champion team. If he's smart he telling the boogs thanks, but no thanks!

Mike Blakely was one of the top RBs in the nation last year and transferred to Auburn. I'm not sure that'll walk on campus as "the man."

if you recall, auburn has two rb's on the bench that were inelligible this year. Mike Blakely, a highly regarded recruit in his own right, and corey grant. Mcalleb also may or may not be around as well. Just as much competition there as here, at least in body count.

Re: RB TJ Yeldon Updates (AU commitment)

Yeldon would be behind Dyer (he's clearly coming back, by the way), and probably Blakely. I don't know about how he would factor in with Corey Grant, though, because if he gets used like McCalebb then he's not really going to be in the rotation for every-down carries anyway. He's going to be more of a speed-sweep specialist than anything.

I really don't think playing time is an issue for Yeldon either way. Obviously he wants to play early, but realistically he's looking at about the same depth chart either way. I'd peg him as the third or fourth guy in the rotation, most likely, on either 'Bama or Auburn, and that's with the top tailback of the group all but certain to head to the NFL at the end of next season (Lacy and Dyer).

I have been one to think he is solid, but alot of smoke all of a sudden regarding Yeldon and UA. Moreso than the norm. I am hearing we might be i for a big surprise by the beginning of next week. Lets hope the rumors of his interest come to life.

I just fell out of my seat if this was for real.

@T_Yeldon Since I am now leaving Auburn, just to say: Keep it real. I hate to say it but UA is a better fit and has much better coaching.

Yeeaaaah.... that's not an actual account. Whoever it is talks of Trooper getting hookers for recruits. Read a little bit of the tweets and you can figure out pretty quick it's not real.

Yeah but look at the list of legit followers on there. That is the only reason I am not sure. Including some of our players.

You are a Satan follower and are damned to hell for your impertinence.
Excited about Coach Chizik's opportunity to replace Mack Brown.
Excited about Isiah Crowell being at Auburn for 2012. NCAA already given permission for him to play w/o sitting out. Troop & Chett Props!
C'mon man :) You can't really believe that's really him.

No I do not, but when I fisrt saw it retweeted by a another site I had to look at it close though. Like I said the funniest part are the followers who think it is.

Since Yeldon is going to enroll early, when exactly is our time officially up?

There are lots of "satirical" accounts on Twitter. For instance, "AJ's Beard and Eddie Lacy's Biceps" are all followed by lots of Bama players, but they are satirical in nature. Just because a lot of legitimate people follow them, doesn't make them real.
