Question: Realistically what are the chances of Cody being truly ready for LSU game?

It really won't matter. Chapman showed up big time and carried his load against UT. Even if Cody starts and ends up not being able to take his usual share of the snaps, Chapman will easily take up the slack.

We'll be fine.

I agree with Rich - I think he could play this week, if necessary. His rehab has been going well. In fact, he didn't even need crutches the next day after the injury...

I will be embarassed if Alabama doesn't tackle better than Georgia did against LSU. I'm not sure how the Dawgs overcame the weakness they showed in Baton Rouge. :eek2:
Because neither team played any defense. Almost like they got together before the game and just decided to run up and down the field all day long.

Not only is Chapman a capable NG but there are two 6'4" 250 lb. stud linebackers right behind him. Chapman is also flanked by some pretty decent ballplayers.

Effectively running up the middle on Bama this year is unlikely for anyone if everything remains constant.

I bet Cody is ready to go for Arkansas St but they're using the excuse of a weak opponent to give him an extra week to recup.

Saban said it was a Smith-like injury and Andre' was out 2 weeks to Tulane and Wkentucky. It's a smart move if it's true.

i am sure cody will not play unless he is at least 90 percent healed. he plays about half the snaps, and even if he plays half of those it will be a plus. our def line is very good. mr scott better tighten his chin strap for this one. he is very big and strong, but so are our def linemen and linebackers. hightower keeps getting better with each game. i am no longer concerned with cody missing a few games now. we have washington who is playing very well. i want cody completely healthy for the sec championship game. i want him to get at least the last game against auburn as well, for a refresher.

Cody says on his Facebook page that he is doing good and will be back for the LSU game. He posted that right after the injury.

We need Cody for the LSU game. Let's not kid ourselves. We are fine at NT with Chapman, but we need Cody for depth. LSU likes to run the ball and having Cody only helps our chances of winning that game.

We will need both Cody and Chapman for LSU.

Cody was walking around at practice today, and did some individual drills. No crutches, and no stationary bike. He should be good to go for LSU. Although trying to run up the middle against Chapman is no picnic. Pick your poison-type deal.
