The Coach may have been saying this on his own to give the "home" team the advantage...

It’s interesting that a coach can just decide who can and cannot talk to a recruit........that does the recruit a great disservice. Let them hear the pitch and make up their own mind, no matter who they choose........

Like I said - any coach who does this without the approval of the player and his parents should be fired.

Sooooo...interesting news on Rutledge. Coach Kelly traveled to Rome, GA to visit with Tate Rutledge this morning, and when he arrived, he was greeted by Rutledge's head coach. His head coach stated that he wasn't allowing visitors today and that Rutledge was visiting UGA this weekend. After this weekend if Rutledge decides to wait until February to sign, then he would allow visitors to see him. Recruiting is a crazy game....

That was not the case in 2019

Keep in mind these are 18 year old kids. If the kid is the one who made the decision not to take any visitors, he could have decided 30 minutes before Coach Kelly arrived or just forgot to tell Coach Kelly. These things happen with high schoolers.
