Of late, I've been more worried that he might sign with OU. I'd rank the chances of each school as;

UA - 40% - Saban and Bama outlook being the biggest reason.
OU - 35% - He would start immediately at an offensive juggernaut.
lswho - 25% - Peach Bowl performance critial for their chances.

He's # 1 on my recruiting wish list now for sure.
With the offensive talent Bama is getting, along with CJM as OC, Bama is about to become "an offensive juggernaut". CNS will still run the ball when he "wants" to and to control the clock because he won't be after the "style points" of some coaches but the offense is about to be opened up. Randal will be a key part to that puzzle.

Julio and Rueben. That would be something to see. I also want to see Kevin and Micheal and any and all receivers do step up. I also want to see Chad Bumphis or some Protho type come in at the slot.:BigA::):BigA:

I think you need to check your facts a little more. Bastrop head coach is a huge LSU fan. Might be confusing yourself with John Curtis-not an LSU fan.
What Capstone says below is what I am referring to. It may be that RR's coach is an LSU fan, but from what I understand HISTORICALLY that AREA is not a LSU stronghold but nonetheless I still feel it will be a very tough pull.

North Louisiana, from what I've been told, has not always sent their best players to LSU. Coach Saban changed that when he was in Baton Rouge, and it has continued, but their is a precident for prospects from that area leaving the state. Of course this is not Bastrop or West Monroe in general, but all of that area. Those two schools will be very difficult to turn.

There's no way LSU's chances of landing Randle are less than OU's IMHO. Right now it seems as if it's only a two horse race with Bama and LSU neck and neck, I still give the edge to LSU. Before the season I would have been completely shocked if he wound up anywhere other than Baton Rouge, now I'll be somewhat shocked if he doesn't.

If I had my druthers, I'd lock this thread and ban any talk of RR to the Tide.

The more quiet the RR to Bama talk is, the better it is for us....

just ask any LA kid who's considering Bama or has picked Bama in recent years....

Part of me worries that this is another Tebow situation as he visited us like three times but there is another part of me that sees the growing optimism among those in the know and this time Saban is doing the recruiting.

Saban is the difference here. Without him I wouldn't be optimistic, with him I am. It may not go our way but I can't help but be optimistic.

Interesting point. It makes sense that less talk would result in less pressure.

(Oh, and I meant "less" as in "not as much" as opposed to "less" miles. :) )

basically, any 5 star recruit is expected to be considered as a starter. then it is up to the coaches to determine that. the tide does need a big time recruit to compement julio. we also need a qb that can get the ball to receivers all over the field. not just lock on to a primary receiver, and not distribute the ball. hopefully greg and star will do this. i have confidence in both of them. we have to remember that hanks and maze are talented slot receivers that we need to get the ball to more. offensive line needs to replace two all americans, hopefully, that will be done, and our running game will still be a force. still some upgrades needed, and we all trust coach to get it done.

There's whispers that he'll visit Okie St. coming out of Oklahoma.
I think he has already publicly announced that he is going to visit OSU. But, in the end, I simply do not see him deciding to spend his college years in Stillwater, Oklahoma, over Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa. Heck, I don't even think their stadium holds more than 60,000 people, if that...

I would have figured Boone Pickens would have built that thing up to 100K by now, topped off with wind turbines all around it.:)

Actually, I think Boone Pickens has recently donated a lot of money to improve their athletic facilities, but official listed capacity on their stadium is still only slightly over 50,000...

They run an attractive offense for a WR, and RR would probably be the highest touted recruit to set foot in Stillwater since Hart Lee Dykes back in the late '80s, who was also a WR--but i just don't see it happening and being any more than a token official visit. If you play there you go in knowing you are probably never going to win a conference championship or, much less, a NC, and you're playing for a school that is a distant second in the state behind OU in popularity and tradition.
