Russia invades Ukraine XV

I read an article on Kiev Independent this morning that I now can't find, where the Moldovan President said that Proghzin and Russia collaborated to stage a coup over her through election interference and organic protests with violent participants to turn it violent. It read like a very familiar playbook...
Maia Sandu is a pretty smart woman. Studied in the US (Harvard). Leading Moldova in a western-oriented direction.
Still there are Moldovans who are not happy about that. Add a few GRU operatives with some money and boom, instant violent protest.

Another Moldova related news story.
On a Russian-language news site, I saw Kremlin apologists worried. Russia did not stand by their Armenian allies, and Russia allowed Azerbaijan annex Nagorno-Karabakh. The Kremlin apologists were worried that Moldova would use this opportunity to retake Transnistria, the Russian enclave between Moldova and Ukraine.
I asked a Romanian colleague, and he said, the Moldovan military barely knows how to tie its shoes. They have 0 money for training and the army is very small and the Russians still have 1,400 troops stationed in Transnistria as "peacekeepers."

Surely, Russia will run out of kit and troops soon such that several gaps in the frontline will be undefended. Reading the updates its a 5 to 1 loss ratio for the Russians...
I have only second-hand information. But I’ve read that, due to Russia’s greatly larger size (population and armed forces), Ukraine needs more like an 8:1 kill advantage.

According to those sources, 6:1 is good. From a purely numeric perspective, it’s not good enough.

Admittedly, that doesn’t address the possible effects of deteriorating Russian morale.

How we can get aid to Israel within 48 hours, but drag our feet in a far more strategically important war in Ukraine, I can’t understand.

Wow! 150 meters with a wrecked train on it will slow the Russians down considerably for an interval...

" The Russian finance minister said, “Everything needed for the front,” a phrase used during WW2. A third of the nation’s budget, $109 billion, will be spent on national defense next year."

That probably isn't sustainable

The video at the end of Hill 1 is amusing. Two Russians are shooting at each other. One gets wounded so he throws a grenade. The second guy throws a grenade back at the first guy, the grenade hits a tree, and goes off right by the second guy. He crawls off.

Honestly, the ineptitude of the Russians.

I hope it isn't but Russians are tough and stupid (in the sense of "impervious to pain; "No brain, no pain"). Great combination for a dictatorship.
