The author of that article is just another LSU fan standing up with another female whose only agenda is to make Bama look bad and convince Landon to change his mind. The kid knows his mom better than anyone and her motives will be clear to him.

This is just standard procedure for SEC recruiting.......HC's promising kids they will play their freshman year while CNS is upfront and tells kids they can play if they earn PT but will not promise it.
With all the talent LSU is supposed to have returning (supposedly better than last year) how much early PT is Landon likely to get? Chances are his chances are as good or better to get more PT at Bama his first year.

So coach saban told Julio Jones, we will win with you or without you. But he has to offer LC gf a job in his office and promise to make him a first round pick, etc? Come on. This is great theatre indeed.

Ummm I call b.s. on what his Mom is pulling once again.

1.) Barring a disaster, Landon WILL and SHOULD play this year. He would have to show up overweight, lazy, and totally blow his learning of our defense to NOT see the field. With his speed, size, and tackling skills he is without a doubt starting on the KO team, possibly be a gunner on PC, and should see time in the Nickel as well as all over the board safety spots. She is FULL OF IT here, I don't care what she says.

2.) Yea Coach is going to be stupid enough to promise the GF a job just to get him here but yet LC said he's basically been ours for years now. Sure Mom.

3.) She is saying as well (ESPN reporting it) than CNS "stereotyped" her about the 1st round pick comment. She's grasping at straws and it's showing BIG TIME.

4.) Mom sounds VERY JEALOUS of GF and seems to have it out for her. Why else try to say she was promised a job to get LC on campus? Not only is she mad her son picked Bama, she is now trying to DESTROY his career. I thought she couldn't stoop any lower now but she has went beyond rock bottom to get after her son. IMHO it's only going to drive him further away from her like the LSwho fans did when they blasted him for committing to us..

That's my story and I'm definitely sticking to it. Thank God he lives with his Dad and Stepmom who seem to be class acts (Dad didn't even seem to want to be in the spotlight) and Stepmom and so happy for him you would have thought she committed. Mom needs to quit acting like that 15 year old spurred for the prom for the 17 year old who puts out.

I wonder what she's going to say next. I'm sure she'll have a website soon.
 
Perhaps I shouldn't mention mom (hard to do, when she continually seeks publicity), but a nationally-known media individual (whom many of you know) spoke to LC three weeks before the "incident." At that point his mom was a hard core Bama fan, and he had her support. So something happened between then and the signing farce. Whatever happened caused her to change her mind. I don't think it was the factors she's cited in the media...

What I find amazing about this story is that LSU promised early playing time hmmmmmmmmm.

Sounds like LSU staff is feeding the mom as much B.S. as they can so she will stay out there in the spotlight and make Landon's decision as uncomfortable as possible. After the LSU fan statements on twitter and Facebook, I'm sure they know the mom is the only possible angle they have to work with.
 
This is a case of someone that should know something about the X's and O's of the sport before commenting. I just LOL'd when she said they wanted him to play Nickelback or something like that. He will probably see alot of playing time in our Dime package. He may come in the nickel but it is usually a corner that plays the fifth DB, but in Dime CNS likes to use another safety as the sixth DB. I like others think he will be used as a gunner on the punt team right away and probably be used on KO as well. There is no doubt he is a stud, but he is coming in behind Vinne and HaHa as well. Let's not forget HaHa was the top safety in the country in last years class. Wow just thinking about our future secondary gets me excited!!!

I'd guess something like this, but I'm still going to chalk it up to her misunderstanding CNS. That in-state pressure is tough. Only one week to go for him to put up with it though.
 
Mom wants to be in control and wants the love from her La. neighbors. Landon's attending LSU could open a lot of doors for her but if he is coerced into going where he don't want to go he will not be happy and things will not turn out well for either of them.
