Can't say this surprises me, but anyone with half a brain will know that Saban isn't responsible for the Dolphins pathetic roster (the root of the problem). In fact, he deserves credit for nearly going 500 with the garbage he had. Fact is, Saban exercised a great deal of prudence by abandoning a sinking ship that was run into the iceberg not of his own doing (much as Petrino is apparently doing in Atlanta).

The "old" guy he kept was Jason Taylor, the only one on the team worth a damn. . .

And Clayton can feel free to solicit the opinions of the Dolphins common to Cameron and Saban and see what they think about those two's respective coaching performances.

Clayton is usually smarter than this. Oh well.

Regarding LSU, Saban IS responsible for much of LSU's roster. Those who choose to disagree and claim the Dolphins situation parallels that of LSU are free to be left to their own absurd delusions. I'm tired of describing to people what color the sky is.

I'm confident Saban will make all of the above crap irrelevant within about 3 years, so it won't matter.

So, it appears that only Saban is the blame for the performance of the Dolphins. He was not the GM of course, did not select all the players to be brought in, but he did cut those who could not perform, and ESPN has taken the chance to pile on Saban once more, to place the Dolphins 0-16 probable season at Saban's feet.
Mike & Mike are CLUELESS!!! They wouldnt know what to do if you wrote it down, spelled it out, verbally told them and then gave the cue cards while on the air.

I have only listened to these two Bozos once, and felt dumber after doing it. :biggrin2:

I still get a chuckle every time I watch Cam Cameron try to justify drafting Ted Ginn Jr. to the group of Dolphin fans gathered at their official draft day party.

yea,, you could tell they were thrilled that he passed on Brady Quinn:biggrin:
I loved watching the blank stares and the hands on their heads when they announced Ginn. Ha Ha

Saban wanted either Brees or Culpepper, preferring Brees. They brought them in and doctors met with James Andrews and came to the conclusion they were still uncertain how Brees' arm would react, because he wasn't really throwing at this point.

In the end, it was a mistake, but they had to do what they did.
I'm not so sure that even Drew could win with the current Fin's team. A QB alone does not make a team. Archie Manning and his days with the Saints are evidence #1 to that case. Just like they bash some running back for 20 carries and 48 yards. RB's are part of it, but if you do not have a decent OL to block, the greatest RBs gain nothing. When you have two DLs and a LB in your face at hand off time, no running back gets his 4 or 5 yards, none do. The good passing and good running teams all have one thing in common, good OL. The Pats are prime example of that this year. Brady has not been sacked very much at all.

They should've hired mike shula over cam cameron instead of just giving him a courtesy interview! I believe he could've won a couple.
