TN was putting together a nice class. Now that Fulmer is out are there any recruits that were interested in us that committed to the viles that we may be talking to again?
If surfer's got good info there, that could be great news for Bama - if we have slots for some of these players.Crimson Surfer's post in another thread is also relevant here.

I was just passing along some of what I heard. Whether or not they actually did contact Bama and whether or not Bama is interested or has room for any of them is a whole other case.If surfer's got good info there, that could be great news for Bama - if we have slots for some of these players.
“I’m still committed, but I’ll test the waters and see what happens.”
Mitchell-Thornton received calls recently from coaches at Florida and Stanford.
He’s also receiving strong interest from Alabama, Louisville, Michigan and Nebraska.
Askew would be the only one, off hand, that we would actively pursue and was previously seriously considering us.
True and what BET said about Bonds is interesting. Then there is Massie, Atchison, Norwood, Randle, Kirkpatrick, Patrick, Kelly, Bumphis and a bunch of others; Too many options and not enough places at the table.I was just passing along some of what I heard. I am sure there is an overall plan and even contigency plans in place for all of the different scenarios that may take place. I doubt any of the highly ranked sought after prospects would be turned away if they decided to choose Bama late in the process or on NSD. There does seem to be quite a lot of top prospects strongly considering Bama and not a whole lot of open slots left. Like I have said before the development of this class down the stretch to NSD should be very interesting to watch.True and what BET said about Bonds is interesting. I seems to me that this year is a unique situation; given our success coupled with AU and UT falling apart has created so many recruiting opportunities that it has got my head spinning. Man, this is almost as good as watching the games! Y'all have been following recruiting way longer than I have so maybe you have experienced this before.
So, this is probably a very naive question but is there a scenario that CNS could open up more spots for big time 5* and 4* players who wanted to be part of the freight train that the Tide has become? Can he grey shirt some? Or defer some? Or send some to a Juco? Or swap some for players already committed; which seems rather harsh and somewhat of a PR nightmare?
In other words is there a way to take advantage of this situation with our limited number of spots, even though we are so far along in the recruiting process?

I'm sure there is a plan. Someone posted at Mr. Orr on TI said that he thought we may actually oversign, now....which makes sense with a lot of academic question marks out there.True and what BET said about Bonds is interesting. Bama has always been a little ahead of UT, but it was always a question of space in our class and our academics.Any word on Eric Gordon?
I agree, I am starting to believe that Eric Gordon may be one of the top propsects that does not make the cut for a number of different reasons.Bama has always been a little ahead of UT, but it was always a question of space in our class and our academics.
We are looking to add another offensive tackle in this class, and we've still got a few guys left on the board like Massie and Siddoway. I imagine that we are still recruiting Phillips, mainly as a back-up plan in case we strike out with some of the other tackles higher on our board.According to TI Aubrey Phillips, a UcheaT comittment, will be in Tuscaloosa Saturday for the Mississippi State game. According to his father he is still a UcheaT comittment, but they are opening is recruitment back up. :conf2: His father says he will also visit Arkansas, Florida and F$U in addition to Alabama.
He has been wavering lately anyway, and he actually was going to visit South Carolina before Fulmer stepped down. This probably, if anything, just puts the icing on the cake.No link, but Jarvis Giles has decommitted from UTK and it sounds like he may be headed to South Carolina.
