Absolutely right. Bama cannot afford to slop around or play sluggish in the first half and allow the barn to hang around and keep it close. The barn typically plays well in the first half of their games and then fall apart the second half.
For the most part Bama has done extremely well in the first half of big games, but against lesser opponents Bama's offense has struggled at times early on. But I hope Bama comes out strong and completely annihilates the barn.:BigA:

Tuberville isn't as reckless with that fourth down stuff as he used to be. Last time I remember him faking a punt against us was 1999 (which didn't work and set up a FG for us, since our offense didn't get going 'til the 2nd half), but it was around 2000 or 2001 that he pretty much lost that part of his coaching identity altogether. So I wouldn't bet on it happening. If he does insist on doing something like that, it will only make a bad loss that much more embarrasing for him.

We have been bullied and pushed around for six years. Now it is our turn to smash mouth them. We will, and they can't stop it, just like we couldn't stop them.

I can't see Bama playing down to the competition in this one, and I don't believe CNS will let them get to high emotionally. Both teams have good defenses and will slug it out. Which ever defense has their hands on their hips late in the 3rd-4th quarter will probably lose. I favor Bama's chances of taking advantage of limited scoring opportunities.:BigA:
