This is getting comical. I'm not wasting any more time or energy fretting over it one way or another. CNS has been great for Bama, a perfect fit in many ways, but if he bails out so be it. Coaches with the football acumen of trained chimpanzees have won 10 games at Alabama and one of them won a conference title. We'll be OK eventually either way.
I'll say this and then no more. As good as he is and and as much as he has accomplished, Saban has one chance and only one to leave a true, lasting legacy and that can only happen if he stays in Tuscaloosa. He may move to Austin and rebuild the 'horns into a contender again, but all that does is reinforce the perception of him as a hired gun in the eyes of most. He has to decide how he wants to be remembered - as a mercenary who will run to the highest bidder or as an icon of the sport that is compared for all time with the likes of Bryant and Rockne. It's up to him at this point.
