Okay, that emoticon didn't fit. I just wanted to use it and I haven't found a reason yet.

Bot stiffarmtrophy.com and heismanpundit.com have MI in the lead now as of 9:30am EST. Looking good, ladies and gentlemen.

We've worn this "never had a Heisman winner" thing like a badge of honor all these years, saying "We don't win Heisman's, we win Championships" and all that. What's going to happen when Ingram goes and screws that all up?? For the record, I hope he wins the thing.

What's even sweeter about this is that I don't think there's been any campaigning of any kind for him from the University or any other major entity in the manner of a lot of the other potential candidates this season. He's just let the work speak for itself from what I can tell. That's pretty cool.

I know this website has been on the money the last 7 years.. But, I think this one is going to come down to the wire and we want know for sure until Saturday.. Not that we knew for sure prior to Saturday the past 7 years.. But I am feeling better, hope the gap widens..

As long as we follow up the Heisman win with a BCSCG win, no harm, no foul... :wink:

Gawd, if those number hold up, the complaining from the Sip fans here in TX is going to be intolerable! Their darling boy must win the Heisman...irrespective of the fact that the only reason McCoy got that second back at the end of the game is because Suh was too fast, and better than him. One more step in the pocket and NU is in the Fiesta.

All on a national stage - Horns won the game, won the day, and Suh stole a ton of Heisman votes right out of McCoy's hip pocket.

If Colt McCoy wins, the Heisman will go down as a joke on par with the Nobel prize. I wish that Suh had a snowball's chance in Hades of winning the dang thing, but no way - no day.

obviously, the University will make him give it back. 'We don't win Heismans...' isn't just a mantra, it's written in some creed somewhere. ;)

Look, I really don't care if we ever have a player that wins one, yeah, it would be nice, but of course Championsips are better. But when we've got a guy so close to doing so, I'm sure as hell not gonna trot out that tired old mantra. I'm happy as hell for Mark, and I wish any sticks-in-the-mud who aren't supporting him would get off their high horses.

I'm assuming he's currently 'on' the bandwagon so I'd not be shocked if he voted for Ingram. But in his infinite wisdom, I could see him voting for someone random and writing a column about it to let everyone know how awesome and smart he is.

Only two players in the last 10 years have won the Heisman and the National Championship. Those would be Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart.

You can go to the Stiffarm website and look below the current predictions and there is a link to all of their received ballets. You can see who all they have ballets for and who each of them voted for. Finebaum is on there..

Palmer didn't win the NC. He left in 02

And CNS has never had back-to-back seasons like this year and last year.:wink:
