I always liked Andew, but as others have said he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope the University never sees the likes of Dubose, Franchione, Price or Shula again.
A friend of mine who attended a few practices because he had former students of his playing said that they were a farce. He said there was very little coaching going on, partially because most of the coaches were continually on their cell phones...
I had a cousin playing baseball during the Dubose years. He told me how dysfunctional the program was then. One story was about waking up and going into his living room and there were two football players passed out on his floor. That was on game day and he was having to get them up so they could get to the stadium.
To be fair, it wasn't just the staff that was dysfunctional. From what I heard, there was a lot of strife within the team itself when it came to deciding on who would start at qb.
And yes, there seemed to be an extreme lack of discipline within the team.
