I saw an interview with McElroy a very good one.

Now will the rest of you stop the bickering back and forth? If you have to continue use PM or I will ban you and you can use email :(
They did an on-field interview, plus he and Javy were at the table with Saban on ESPN News for the post game presser. GMac came across as a very humble man in the presser, even as the media kept asking him questions about his great performance. He just kept giving the credit to his team... :cheers2:

Tebow's a great guy. He's done everything that's ever been asked of him, and I wish there were more players with his attitude out there. He's a great motivator, player and example. For anyone to make fun of him is beyond me. You don't kick your opponent after you've beaten them.

This is not the time or place for Tebow-bashing...hell this thread is starting to look like something off of VolNation or ITAT.

Tebow at his young age is a better man than many in this thread. It is sick to take pleasure in misery.

He and his family have done more for this world than any of us could ever hope to offer but then again, that is what he offers. HOPE.

He is a great kid and a great player. To see and read some of the Alabama fans make fun of his sadness disgust me.

I am beyond overjoyed in our victory, but such classless sentiments regarding a heartfelt effort is wrong, and I am ASHAMED to be associated with such fans.

This borders on classless, but I also felt a sense of satisfacton seeing him cry. I don't think we were weeping last year.

I'm relieved for two reasons. !: We win and are in the BCSCG! 2: We won't have to listen to all the Tebow hype leading up to it.

I will pull for the Gators in the Sugar Bowl.
AMEN my brother, AMEN...am gonna miss seeing the Tebow highlights on mute, but am so tired of hearing "Tebow this, Tebow that"....

You may be selling some people here you don't know kind of short making such a bold statement.

Tim Tebow is a class act. Regardless if you are a Gator fan, Christian believer, no one can take away what he has accomplished on the field. He has made the SEC a better conference during his tenure, the Gators are better/classier with him than during Spurrier era, college football imgage is better from his play. People handle emotion differently. If its ok to show tears when you win, then you can let them go when you loose. He has character and class which something all athletes need regardless of sport.
I am so happy for Coach Saban and the Crimson Tide team. It hurt loosing last year to Tebow/Gators but way more honorable to have lost to them than some of our lower class rivalries. I think Mr. Tebow would say the same tomorrow about us (wait he already acknowledged our class didn't he?). If Ingram does not win the Heisman, I would still take Tebow over McCoy. We win with class and our fans must act with class. Roll Tide Roll!!!

I have to agree with you 100%. I felt a sick satisfaction seeing him cry, but then when they interviewed him and he said those classy things it brought me back to reality. Tim Tebow is without a doubt one of the best ambassadors for college football you could ask for. He is a classy individual and a fierce competitor. My dislike of him has been media inflicted. It's not his fault that the media has decided to make him into their sole focus for the past few years, and honestly you can't blame them. I really respect Tim Tebow and hope the gators go and destroy whatever team they play in the Sugar Bowl.

Well said!!!!!
I still love and respect the guy no matter how much the media covers him.
We need more players/people like him.
It's pretty classless to make fun of an athlete thats poors his heart and soul into this game we love.
If you had ever played this game and devoted years of your life to it you would know the emotion that comes with losing big games and ending your career.

So all you folks making fun the joke is really on you!!!!:BigA:

That was not my intention. There are many people who have offered much and gave their lives who and have been on this forum and were/are Alabama all the way.

We are not Auburn. We are not Tennessee. We are Alabama. My point, perhaps phrased poorly, is simple. Take no pleasure in the misery of others.

Well, I haven't read all the post in this thread, but I am a person who has a great deal of admiration for Tim Tebow. He is a person of outstanding character.

He is an outstanding role model for the youth of America. He says things about his beliefs that I just could not have communicated at an early age.

I had to go to my Bible just to check to see what was in the verse John 16:33. I'm sure he is not perfect (no one is except the Son mentioned in John 3:16), but again he is a great role model for youth in an ever increasing DECADENT society. We need more people like him.

I'm sure there are some Alabama players that are just as good a person as he is but they don't have the platform he has had as a former Heisman winner and BCS NC winner.

Have you ever shed a tear? I'm sure there are some things that are more important than football. I haven't shed tears when Bama has lost in the past but losing sure puts you in a state of depression. I just have a spring in my step when I walk after a Bama win. I admit that I have had rage in my heart when Bama is not treated in an equitable manner in comparison to other universities (Michigan, USC, ND, etc.) by the NCAA.

I do think he handled the press conference with class.
