Agreed. Logical (and probable) choice.Things are moving fast, would think Sumlin might have the inside track with HC experience and current ties to the state of Texas.
I could see Sumlin coming back to us, he was awesome as RC Slocums O.C. the year Slocum got fired. He can recruit lights out also.Same source inside aTm who told me Fran to aTm was a done deal 4 weeks into the 2002 season has advised Sumlin is a 'done' deal. Wanted Kirby but, will not wait until after bowl game. Want new coach out recruiting & staff building ASAP. Expect Sumlin to be named Saturday night.
context - "not that bad" in the Big12 translates to "stinking on ice" in the SECThis is strange. He didn't do that bad IMHO.
IMO Sumlin could do well in the SEC if he hires the right d-coordinator and assistants on defense. Face it, many kids would love to play in that up tempo offense. Just not going to win many games 56-53 in the SEC. It is going to be hard on aTm the first few years in the SEC. However, I still believe they have the facilities, fan base, and money to join BAMA and lsu in the top tier of the SEC.Sumlin would make an excellent HC in the Pac 12. Dunno how he will fair in the SEC. Of course Urban made the transition fairly well lol.
You mean the last straw, LOL?Well my wife will be relieved to hear this news. She is an Aggie who has been in depression all year long. That loss to UT was the needle on the haystack.
Uh. Yeah. It has been a long day. Brain is fried. I am having more senior moments like that latelyYou mean the last straw, LOL?
