Agreed. Logical (and probable) choice.

Word out of College Station is the replacement decision has already been made and arranged, or the trigger never would've been pulled on Sherman. Add that to being knee-deep in the crucial part of recruiting season and yes, things should go down pretty quickly.

I'd guess that we are looking at, or already closed on Chad Morris, Larry Fedora, Charlie Strong or Kirby Smart...with an outside chance at Paul Rhoads.

I could see Sumlin coming back to us, he was awesome as RC Slocums O.C. the year Slocum got fired. He can recruit lights out also.

Sumlin would make an excellent HC in the Pac 12. Dunno how he will fair in the SEC. Of course Urban made the transition fairly well lol.

IMO Sumlin could do well in the SEC if he hires the right d-coordinator and assistants on defense. Face it, many kids would love to play in that up tempo offense. Just not going to win many games 56-53 in the SEC. It is going to be hard on aTm the first few years in the SEC. However, I still believe they have the facilities, fan base, and money to join BAMA and lsu in the top tier of the SEC.
