Yes, but again - we've been fed a steady diet of 60 years of "if you say the words 'law and order, states rights, deport illegals, and busing, you're appealing to racist impulses."If they are here illegally, especially if newly here, I dont care who is deporting them. Just do it legally.
Now - of course - there ARE times that is true. But it simply doesn't follow that "anyone who says law and order means racism", either. The insinuation - with the aid of a laughably non-objective press - is "if you say words X that is a racist dog whistle, period. No further discussion."
And that isn't reality, but we've been told it is for so long that most folks accept it. So let me be clear on it: most illegals - probably up to 99% - here aren't violent criminals, most aren't murderers, rapists, robbers, or rapists who rape robbers.
At the same time - they broke the law coming here illegally. So in that narrow sense, every single one of them is, in fact, a criminal. (And I "get" there are different reasons for immigration).
And no, you don't get to cut in front of the line of people who (wait for it) followed PROCESS in the direction of citizenship. Almost everything is a two-way street but subject to sound bites and bumper stickers.
Funny side note: I see a large number of Americans are, apparently, trying to migrate to the United Kingdom right now. I'm gonna guess this is because "hey, I don't have to learn a new language," but they'll be back. If that's why you left, it won't take you long to see how most folks live in the UK, and it's not something an average American will like - from the tiny streets to the lack of ice in restaurants to the high taxes to the tiny houses to rain 1/2 the year. Yeah, someone like Ellen DeGeneres, who can hide out in a rich house in the Cotswolds, can do it.
