So much for our conference being bad and down...............................

I wonder what the haters will have to say now?
Haven't your heard? Bowl games mean very little when the SEC wins them. OOC games mean very little when the SEC wins them. Oh, and those BCS bunches in a row, well they were rigged with ESPN/BCS conspiracy to make the SEC supreme. Now it is that dad blamed Committee doing the conspiring! They paired the bowl games (just like the BCS did) so SEC team would have easy wins.
I swear I am not making this up, I have been trolling the other conference boards.

Looks like we may have to add an extra wing, to that museum.

Or, just move into the one Baylol thinks will be erected in their honor.

The SEC's 8-2 record is great, but I think A&M would have had a better chance of winning had Sumlin not fouled up on their QB situation. They made a game of it and had a chance to win anyway. With UF not having a viable QB, I wasn't expecting them to win. I was a bit surprised that AU won their game.

Spot on. I did figure Barn would win. Gus usually has one he pulls out his backside.

I figured Au and Fla would lose and aTm game was a toss-up.
I thought FL would have kept it closer but the defense was just as bad as offense.

The barn win did not surprise me. Memphis was terrible after the Ole Miss game. I think once their coach knew he was going to cash in, he checked out.

Bama is now thirteen and one. We have played 12 bowl teams this year. Can anyone else claim that? One more bowl team to go, for a total of thirteen. Wow, talking about a tough schedule! RTR! The SEC West had all seven teams in bowl games and went six and one.

The bad thing is this - if we DON'T beat Clemson, nobody is going to remember how good this year's SEC was. The narrative will be that Clemson showed the gap is not all that far and the SEC 'falls short yet again' (2013 Auburn, 2014 Alabama, 2015 Alabama).

We must win - and I'll be honest, I feel about as good about it as I did the Notre Dame game, which I also thought we'd kill them. I was slightly more worried about Notre Dame. Why? Because beating a good defense is a whole other ballgame from beating a good offense. There's a reason the saying is 'Defense Wins Championships.'

And we're playing for the history books in more ways than one. No team has won four in seven years (it's kinda funny because when Miami won 4 in 9 back in the 80s-90s, they were considered a great dynasty......but I've yet to hear anyone talk about how phenomenal four in seven would be). A win forever ends the 'who was better, 90s Nebraska or Alabama.' (I think it's us because we've played far greater competition).

And if we could record a second shutout, it would be a record nobody could ever break and have us spoken about among the all-time greats. The Ole Miss game would actually get reduced to "the backup QB started" and "two insane plays."

The one thing my picking through the numbers tells me is this - Clemson turns the ball over A LOT. They're -1 in the turnover margin despite playing in a league with lousy defenses; we're +9, with 17 turnovers on the year and 12 in the 13 games NOT called Ole Miss. That's about what we do every year (across the Saban years we have basically averaged one turnover per game and have 1 or 2 games where a heavy concentration of turnovers occur, like the 6 against WKU in 2012).

Michigan State was slightly BETTER than us at turnovers on the year...in fact, it was one of their few indisputably superior areas - we are substantially better than Clemson at the turnover battle. They've turned it over 25 times and taken away 24.

We have to win, everybody, and not just so we can all go to work on January 12.
