It isn't about justifying his killing. It is about examining the backgrounds to see who's version of events are more likely.and neither of those crimes he supposedly committed justify killing him, imho
I don't believe BPP was making that assertion. I certainly was not.and neither of those crimes he supposedly committed justify killing him, imho
well saying that tm was the only one who committed a crime is implying that zimmerman's shooting of tm was justified (based on said crimes im guessing) and therefore not a crime.I don't believe BPP was making that assertion. I certainly was not.
In my opinion, I think quite possibly they do.and neither of those crimes he supposedly committed justify killing him, imho
then we have vastly different views. In my opinion, I think quite possibly they do.
"Stand Your Ground" would justify the killing.well saying that tm was the only one who committed a crime is implying that zimmerman's shooting of tm was justified (based on said crimes im guessing) and therefore not a crime.
from the stand point of that law, possibly if it is written loosely (i don't know about the laws in florida, but i'm pretty sure that wouldn't fly in georgia). but i don't see how TM didn't also get the benefit of stand your ground, could he have attacked (assuming he did) GZ because he felt threatened?"Stand Your Ground" would justify the killing.
again, this is just mho, but i don't think getting your butt beat by an unarmed man is a justifiable excuse for killing.I don't know if TM assaulted GZ, but he certainly battered him. That can very quickly cross the line to become a justifiable shooting.
Thankfully, the law (in most states) doesn't agree with you. And considering more than twice as many people are killed with hands each year than with rifles, I'd say those are good laws.again, this is just mho, but i don't think getting your butt beat by an unarmed man is a justifiable excuse for killing.
Uh, yeah. I gathered that from our opposing poststhen we have vastly different views.
i would like to see the data on that. limiting the comparison to just rifles vs. hands seems to be a bit of a stretch as far as justifying that. additionally, you would need to look at in-home vs out of home incidents (i think that lethal force with a gun is justified within one's home) and also domestic violence casesThankfully, the law (in most states) doesn't agree with you. yeah, but i bet you didn't realize how vast they were and that needed some 'splainin'Uh, yeah. I gathered that from our opposing posts![]()
Didn't need 'splainin' for me...I'm accustomed to there being a vast gulf between our perspectives.yeah, but i bet you didn't realize how vast they were and that needed some 'splainin'![]()
Check the FBI statistics. Of course handguns kill far more than hands, just making the point that the hands are deadly weapons, especially when they belong to those who are younger and on drugs. In this case, it appears TM was unarmed, but how many guys have been attacked like GZ was only to be killed via knife? Quite a few.i would like to see the data on that. limiting the comparison to just rifles vs. hands seems to be a bit of a stretch as far as justifying that. additionally, you would need to look at in-home vs out of home incidents (i think that lethal force with a gun is justified within one's home) and also domestic violence cases
Not sharing the skittles. As Bamaro likes to point out if he had just offered GZ some skittles this whole thing could have been avoided.what crime did he commit?
