Things you won't do as a Bama fan

I won't wear orange. I won't wear another college team's clothing (ie. hat, shirt)

Never, ever root for the Viles or War Chickens!!!

Never wear another schools attire.

Never pull for another confrence besides the SEC in bowl play (except for the two exceptions noted above).

Only have "Yeah Alabama" for my ring tone on the cell phone. No other song will do.

Never let anyone bad mouth the University, Coach Bryant etc. without defending them to the best of my ability.

I'm sure there's more...but I'm on cold medication, thoughts are rather scattered at the moment!

Borden bought out Bama several years ago. I don't know what has transpired since then.

Things I won't do as a Bama fan:

I will NOT claim a Co-Best in the West unless we are.

I will NOT play The Citadel, La Monroe and Westen Kentucky in the same year I whine about not being in the NC title game.

I will NOT put fender skirts and a steering-knob on my tractor.

I will NOT claim we have more talent than ever after losing the best backfield in our history.

I will NOT claim ESPN2 is "out to get me."

I will NOT say adding a 12th game is a stupid thing to do.....then schedule a 12th game the next year.

I will not play basketball with an orange ball. I painted my ball red after 17-16. Thank goodness that most b-balls are brown thesedays.

More importantly, I will not boo the Tide! No matter how much I might disagree with the play calling. I still remember our fans booing the play calling during the Dubose period at home against Florida. Some fans forget that this has a negative effect on the players.

I agree with the ban on orange clothing. I have a really neat orange sports coat that I won't wear because, when I do, I catch it from all the LSU fans here about wearing Auburn colors.

I won't pull for UT or the Barn unless their winning helps Bama.

I've seen several posts saying they never wear another school's clothing. I'm the same way. At work, I typically wear a Bama polo shirt the Friday before a game, but - we have one guy who, during football season, wears the cap of the school the Barn is playing that weekend! It cost him this year, as the athletic wear of the crappy OOC schools the Barn scheduled is hard to find. He ended up ordering a Ball State and Western Ky cap, so as not to disrupt his pattern.

On AU's schedule has been UAB. Samford, Western Carolina (3-4 times), Ball State, ULM (5-6 times), Western Kentucky, Citadel, UTC, Western Michigan, App. State, Cal St Fullerton, Georgia Southern, East Tn St........ have any of these teams been to a bowl more than once (maybe 2 of them)

I wore an Awbarn shirt to school one day (I'm a teacher). Of course, it was Homecoming week and it was the designated "TACKY" dress up day.

I don't and never will [EVER]:

Pull for AU or UT, regardless of the reason. (If you knew how much they hate us, you'd know why.)
Possess or wear any orange clothing. (I'd rather be caught night-lighting in my camo's than wearing an orange vest during the day.)
Leave a Tide game before I read the final score on the scoreboard. (If I'm going to pay for the ticket, I'm going to get every dime of my money's worth.)
Boo the Tide, even in their worst performance. (Not that I think I could do any better.)
Attend a game being played by AU, UT or UAB, unless the Tide is also playing in that same game. (I don't care if the tickets ARE free.)
Tear down a goal post. (What, you expect me to climb up there at my age?)
Throw trash on the court or field. (My momma taught me to pick up after myself.)
Go out of town, during business or pleasure, (even if I go to downtown Auburn) without taking and wearing a hat or some item of clothing with the Crimson Tide insignia or logo. (You should see some of the looks I get at the restaurants in Auburn!)
Last but not least, I would never, ever, ever act in such a manner as to bring disrespect upon the University of Alabama, it's team or staff. (At least not in front of any other team coach, player or fan.)
