tonight's game

Vandy gonna get triple digits...gosh darnit CMG! Get it together

My apologies to the mods for the 3 quick posts, if it's a problem

This season is starting to remind me of the year that we were ranked #1 in December. We played terribly in the SEC (7-9) but the NCAA let us in because they had kept us out the year before. One thing to remember about CMG. High expectations = poor season. Low expectations = good season.

Pathetic, flat out pathetic.

What scares me about the

Is that, isn't it said that "good coaches do more with less"

Why can't he do more with more LOL

So in our three biggest road tests, we've given up 99 to Notre Dame, 94 to Vandy and 88 to Arkansas? Mark has got to do something about this. Other teams that don't have our talent level play better than this. Heck Ole Miss is only down by 3 at LSU.

Typical CMG team. Unable to win consistently on the road - even against inferior opponents. We have no chance of winning a NC with CMG, but we will be respectable every year and win the occasional game in the playoffs.

This is why I don't post on this board very often. Only winning at home will never be enough for me. Mediocrity...

Exactly. There's not many other coaches out there that can consistantly get wiped around on the road with a couple of former HS All-Americans and a multitude of other highly touteds.

NO PRIDE ON DEFENSE! NO CONSISTENCY! SAME OL' SAME OL'. Why does this surprise anyone? We'll probably be about 9-7 in conference play and go 1-1 in the SEC tourney, which would put us at 23-9, I believe. We'll get a four or five seed in the NCAA, win the first round game, and lose in the second round if we play a team that can shoot the three and defend at all. We still have a lot of talent that is fun to watch at times, though.

I also just read that another player has transferred. Avery Jukes transferred to Butler.

When will Mal grow a pair and transfer Mark to the unemployment line? Yes, Bama is and will always be a basketball school. However, we can afford to spend $$ on a decent basketball coach. Yes, Mark is a former player but at some point Mal needs to do his job and evaluate the program. Losing can be forgiven, playing without any heart or care can not.....

Oh yeah, welcome to the basketball board. I hope you stick around for the wins, too.

Why does Vandy always seem to shoot lights out when we play up there? It's like they're saying, "Here comes Bama, if we win, it'll make our season! Let's put it all into this game!" They never seem to miss a shot up there. Seems like they always set a season high for something and this year was their season high in three pointers. Ugh, we should just forfeit all games in Nashville from here on out and save the gas money.

I was at the game and kept thinking to myself, "Surely they can't keep this up." But it seemed like Vandy never missed a shot. They shot 58% (67% in the first half) but it seemed like 88%. You could really tell that Vandy played with much more intensity, especially on the defensive end. Most of our shots were contested. Vandy had tons of wide open looks and made the most of them. We can't continue to get blown out on the road, especially against mediocre SEC teams.
