No surprise here. He's had visits from Grant, Self, and Cal in the last 2 weeks. I would be shocked if he ends up anywhere but UK or Bama.

I've seen for the last month or so where reports were that Lacey knew were he was going to sign. However, in any of those previous reports, I didn't see Kansas anywhere on the map. Now, all of the sudden within the last week, KU is in the mix with KY and 'Bama?
Who knows where the young man will sign? And who knows when? The date keeps getting pushed further and further back
First it was April 13. Then, it was after the Louisville tourney (around the 22nd). Now, I've read that he's taking a visit to KU and then will visit KY a week afterward.
What gives? Is this kid ever going to announce and when?
What is the latest he can announce, and perhaps more importantly, when will we know if he's even eligible to play?

Haven't heard those reports about more trips. I had heard all along that his top 5 were UA, UK, UCONN, AU, KU. I am a little surprised that KU is in his top 3 instead of UCONN. I also haven't heard he's pushing back his announcement again. I was expecting to hear something tomorrow. Not doubting your info, but is there a link?

Says in the article that Trevor's father told rivals.com that his son planned on making a visit to KU on April 29-30 or the week afterward.
If that's the case, how on earth is he going to make a decision beforehand? Clearly, he's not going to make a decision in the next day or two, which is what I thought after he initially declared he wasn't announcing April 13. Also looks like a decision will be made by May 18, which by the article above, is the end of the spring signing period.

I knew Kansas was a possibility, but this sounds a little interesting to me.

Until recently, Alabama had been considered the heavy favorite to land the No. 34-rated Lacey, who reportedly is intrigued by the possibility of significant playing time as a freshman at a national power such as KU.

So how has Kansas jumped in so late to over take UCONN as the third team in his top 3?

The Morris twins shouldn't factor into Lacey's playing time. However, Selby's departure and Morningstar and Reed being gone could lead to very early playing time for him. I hate to say it, but I see the appeal if you want early PT at a traditional power. Let's face it, we're not Kansas.

I have no problem with him waiting and doing what is best with him.
What I do have a problem with, however, is saying he's made a decision then set a date, then postpone that date for another date and then postpone it again.
So, either he's made a decision or he hasn't. Clearly, if he's still taking visits to KU - the young man hasn't made a decision.
Just wait until you're ready and then announce.

I was told a few days ago that he still didn't make a high enough ACT score this last time he took it, so there's rumblings of him announcing for a school, and then never going and instead going to play in europe....not sure how true this is, but honestly wouldn't surprise me.

he took it in late feb or early march, i think, so that would be sufficient enough time to get it back. he was working with tutors, and one of his tutors is a mom to a boy that plays HS baseball with my bro-in-law.

This is when I was thinking. I highly doubt he knows the score from April 9th test date. I found this on the ACT website.

Most scores are available for online viewing within 2 ½ weeks after each national or international test date. Your scores are not reported any faster if you view them online. Score reports are usually mailed within 3 to 8 weeks after each test date. If you took the Writing Test, your score report will be mailed only after all your scores are available, including Writing, within 5 to 8 weeks after the test date.

He should know soon then.

Interview from the Derby Classic. He talking more about Bama in the second video. He had nice things to say about Coach Grant. He did say that there was no appeal to "being the man" at the in-state school. He wanted to find a good fit and be good teammate. He followed that by saying if that was the only factor he would have committed to us a long time ago. He also mention that his most recent visit to Bama was his official and that he would be taking officials to UK and KU.
