Trouble in Oxford

I'm suprised that Tim hasn't posted this already, but here goes.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi coach Rod Barnes is punishing two top players facing assault charges, but would not say when Emmanuel Wade and Justin Reed will be allowed to play again.

Both were held out of the team's first exhibition game last Saturday. The team's next tuneup game is Saturday. The Rebels open the regular season Nov. 24 at East Carolina. For rest of story:

I posted a link from ESPN the other day in which MSU is apparently going to fall under the NCAA hammer for their recruitement of Mario Austin.

They're even talking about reviewing his HS transcripts.

That wouldn't surprise me any. Remember Austin jumped ship from Bama right before signing day suddenly to go to MSU? It smelled really funny...

I hate to see the news from Ole Miss. I've admired how hard Barnes teams play. He seems to get a lot from the available talent.
