I say lets leave the SEC. We don't need them at all. Look at the Golden Domers. They are in the Big East with eveything except football. Why can't we do the same thing?

Tech had their chance and left the SEC because they didnt want to share bowl money.......Memphis and Clemson? Are you serious? Why not add ua wanna b??????:conf2:Add Memphis to the West and Clemson or GA Tech to the East?
They guessed at the other 2, but those were not known by them. The host said maybe Georgia Tech, Louisville, Houston or Memphis.Wonder how that would shake up the divisions? What about the other two teams? Any speculation as to which ones?
Practically speaking, we would probably see Miami and FSU added to the East, but they could always put FSU in the west. That would be best to maintain a balance between the two divisions. If not, move KY or Vanderbilt to the west.
To be shed of the ncaa, and have sane scholarship limits and recruiting rules would be worth 4 extra teams!!! :BigA:If it will do away with the ncaa as the governing body, and their stupid scholorship limits, I'm for it.
Would love to see the scholorship limit gone, or raised to a reasonable number;
and would love a governing body that put everyone on a level playing field and didn't get caught up with backstabbers who spend more trying to tear down their rivals than they spend supporting and developing their own programs.
It's already not really geographical... Auburn is more to the east than VandyGoBama#1 said:Practically speaking, we would probably see Miami and FSU added to the East, but they could always put FSU in the west. True, but if it was, Bama would lose either UT or AU every year. Sort works to our advantage if we want to keep our rivalries.It's already not really geographical... Auburn is more to the east than Vandy
I agree. They don't consistantly fill the Orange bowl. Plus, its MIAMI.Anybody but Miami.
You can't have Vandy and MSU in the same division. What do you think this is, the Big 12 North?It's already not really geographical... Auburn is more to the east than Vandy
Why not have North and South divisions if we are going to expand to a super-conference anyways?You can't have Vandy and MSU in the same division. What do you think this is, the Big 12 North?

It is what it isCapstoneTider said:The website is a lowly one, not considered relevant enough for other organizations to comment on their stories. And a search for Troy Calhoun on Google news does not list any of his super conference comments........so this is a small nugget of an article.
Couldnt agree more. If Miami came to the SEC, the "class" level of the conference would be cut in half. Miami is by far my most despised team. It would turn my stomach to see them in the SEC.Anybody but Miami.
Well, we do have aubarn......:rolleye2:Couldnt agree more. If Miami came to the SEC, the "class" level of the conference would be cut in half. Miami is by far my most despised team. It would turn my stomach to see them in the SEC.
I could see Ga Tech coming back, but we would need another team to make two equal divisions. FSU, Clemson, and Louisville have been tossed around. What do you think?My request is to keep the SEC "real" by leaning towards those teams that have a HISTORY with the conference. Ga Tech is a natural here and I know many of the Techsters agree. Many regret the decision made by Bobby Dodd to get out of the conference and view it as a mistake. Miami does nothing for the conference but bring it down.
From what I hear from some of my FSU friends in certain journalistic career fields is that FSU will jump at that opportunity for many $$$$ reasons.I could see Ga Tech coming back, but we would need another team to make two equal divisions. I think FSU would be a good fit too. I was *told* that years ago, Bobby Bowden told FSU not to join the SEC because all the SEC did was beat up each other, and to joing the ACC instead. With Bowden gone, who knows.From what I hear from some of my FSU friends in certain journalistic career fields is that FSU will jump at that opportunity for many $$$$ reasons.
Of those three, my vote would be Clemson or fsu. Neither overwhelm me.I could see Ga Tech coming back, but we would need another team to make two equal divisions. FSU, Clemson, and Louisville have been tossed around. What do you think?
