Trump Attacks Iran, II

So, a few weeks ago at the State of the Union, when Trump was saying it was the best economy ever, he was talking about a Biden economy. Good to know.

These people are idiots.
LOL. Kind of like when Biden blamed everything on Trump in the 2020 election and Trump complaining about Obama's economy in the 2016 election and so forth and so forth.

Biden on Trump

When people start looking at things without their political party glasses on they start to see more similarities then differences. Our politicians have been serving themselves and their elitist buddies for decades yet here we are arguing over which is the lesser of two evils. Heck of a gig they have. Imagine if a football coach lost every game but half the fan base cheered them on because they were just glad they were coaching and not the last guy or if they won every game and half the fan base still hated them because they thought someone else should have got the job and would have won by 40 instead of 21. That is where we are and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon...

Meh. It's trashing someone who doesn't have the bully pulpit to defend himself, and happens in lots of aspects of life.

Blaming the predecessor goes back thousands of years. God forbid one die. Then he gets blamed for everything, including world hunger, lack of world peace, lack of a cure for cancer, the weather, climate change, the fact that pretty much everything costs something, etc., etc.

The OFC will remember that when Bill Casey (then Director of the CIA) died in office, he became the lightning rod for not only the whole Iran Contra scandal, but also everything wrong in every branch of government in all of Washington.

Every President except George Washington has done it. And the only reason Washington didn't was that, being first, he had no predecessor.

The concept is equally prevalent in the workplace. When someone leaves a company, especially a big one, you'd think the poor guy single-handedly tanked the whole enterprise with laziness and incompetence.

This is not new and won't end when Trump is gone. Or his successor. Or his successor's successor, etc., etc. ad infinitum.

My post had less to do with the blame game and more to do with 'We the People' holding our politicians accountable for their actions, regardless of political affiliation. The unfortunate truth is Washington has scammed the American people for so many years that they are better at burying the bodies then we are at having the ability to know a crime even existed in the first place. A major upheaval would have to occur for any of this to change. Under the current setup we are stuck and no matter who is in charge we will get more or less of the same. This tactic is centuries old as well. Keep the masses occupied with (fill in the blank) while we continue to fill our bellies and pockets full behind the scenes. The ole switcheroo and we take the bait each and every time.

All true, but they are getting a bit more creative. What was Trump's selling point in 2016? "He's not a politician." Truth is, as soon as he started campaigning, this became technically untrue. Biden's selling point? A return to normalcy! (As if there is something normal about having a figurehead president who was barely in charge of his own bladder, much less the executive branch of the federal government.) Once you peel away the BS and exaggeration, what lies underneath is more of the same and always will be. People claim to want something different, but do they? Their voting habits would suggest otherwise.

As long as the "evil" and "dumb" people don't win, most are happy. 🤡

It's "pro wrasslin" in an expensive suit. If Vince McMahon was stealing 35% of our paychecks every other week, the WWF would be just like our government (minus the habit of making large holes in other peoples' countries.) Buy the ticket, take the ride.

All true but with an important caveat:

It has GENERALLY been the practice of American Presidential administrations to HIRE EXPERTS - and then LISTEN to them. Now that doesn't automatically guarantee success (see Vietnam War as a great example). But there's a difference between "expert guess based on his expertise was wrong" and "I AM THE EXPERT" and "suppose I didn't have any, I couldn't do any worse," both things this pile of cellulite has uttered multiple times.

None of his predecessors bumbled their way through the worst pandemic in world history by not listening to even basic common sense AND THEN CAME BACK. Trump doesn't get the same leeway because unlike a lot of them HE WAS PRESIDENT RECENTLY. The only President with a similar history to Trump is Grover Cleveland - and his is mitigated by the fact that the guy who held the term between his two actually lost the popular vote back before that became a common thing.

I don't dispute "well, the person who came before me" is par for the course. But not one of them had a fan club of Tin Foil Hat Wearing imbeciles who declared belief in mantras like "Trump was right about everything," either.

And not one of them kept overstating on a daily basis his accomplishments, virtually none of which has any basis in fact.

Which begs two questions:

1) Is that damn wall that Mexico is paying for built yet? If not, how is Biden to blame for that one?
2) Does the guy who was gonna have a health care plan in two weeks NINE YEARS AGO have one?

Me thinks if some on the other side would stop with the "Trump is wrong about everything", you might see less of "Trump is right about everything" folks. Radical tends to produce radicals, just on the opposite end. It is a natural human response when someone doesn't agree with someone and they are being less than diplomatic about their opinions.

^^ He's such a stupid person.

You guys are really overthinking my previous comment.

I was only pointing out how Trump can't even decide if we have a great Trump economy or a bad Biden economy. 2 weeks ago, it was the greatest the world had ever seen, and it was all because of Trump. Now it is bad again, and all the fault of Biden. Pick one, dumb Trump, good economy or bad.

Then you guys defend this ridiculous nonsense because "everyone does it". I don't ever remember Biden patting himself on the back for a great economy, only to turn around a week later and blame Trump for a bad economy. But whatever.

This is the dumbest administration ever. No one knows what anyone else is doing from hour to hour in this dumb administration. That's why they are always contradicting each other.
