Trump policies X

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family from all of your fellow TideFans! Be safe and be blessed!
You know, just a few months ago, the MAGA right was against political violence. They got a lot of people fired for things they posted online.

So, when will they get Trump doxxed and fired?

Rules for thee, not for me.
I'm not sure of the rules anymore, but I think someone has to die first before we can celebrate that person's death. That's usually when the doxing and firings begin, but if the rules have changed, I guess I missed it.

Q: What did the president mean when he called a reporter "piggy"?

LEAVITT: Look, the president is very frank & honest with everyone in this room. You'll all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons the American people reelected this president

So we've abandoned "he was talking to Peggy" just as I said.

Let me tell you what I find funny about this.

I lived through the 1980 election between Carter and Reagan and while Carter looked at it with rose colored glasses years later, there were a lot of personal asides in that race and not just from the nominees.

But I can't give it the justice it needs. For that we turn to that awesome Southern humorist, Lewis Grizzard:

Man oh man, do I miss Lewis. When I moved back to Alabama, I lost nearly all of my Lewis Grizzard books. To this day, I have no idea what happened to them. I got to see him live many, many moons ago and I remember how shocked I was at how deep his voice was. It was a great show and as he does, left everyone in stitches.

authentic morons

Department of Defense “contractors” landed on a Mexican beach and accidentally declared it United States territory in a bizarre incident on Monday.

A group of unidentified men hammered six signs into a beach near Playa Bagdad in Northeast Mexico on Nov. 17. The signs declared that the area was “Department of Defense property” and had been classified as a “restricted area” by “the commander.” The area is roughly twelve miles south of the U.S.-Mexico border.

I loved his writing as well but I think if he was still alive (would only be 79) I suspect he’d be a MAGA Trump supporter.

I don't know.

I can see that, but he also was suspicious of most politicians, too. He had gone full circle from liberal Democrat in his 20s to supporting Pat Buchanan in 1992, but I also can't imagine him siding with Buchanan as his anti-Semitism became better known. But yes, it's pretty safe to say a Buchanan voter in 1992 (without any evolution) is likely to be a Trump voter in 2016, too.

Grizzard had a lot of hangups about the Vietnam War, considering himself lucky he had the heart issue (which was protecting him from service)…..but then again……

Given that Lewis lived in Atlanta and played tennis he must have been an ALTA member. ALTA is strictly doubles. I don't know anybody that plays singles except really young guys and of course tournament players. Don't know why he felt the need to quit tennis. It's one of the best games out their for overall fitness.

Tennis elbow was one reason. He caught an awful case of that and switched to golf which became his obsession.

A little over two weeks after endorsing his rival on election eve, President Donald Trump welcomed New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to the Oval Office and congratulated him on Nov. 21.

The meeting turned optimistic following several contentious public comments by both figures, with Trump saying his meeting with Mamdani showed "we agree on a lot more than I would have thought."

"I expect to be helping him, not hurting him," Trump said of Mamdani.
