But, but, Trump said he was sending us all a tariff check. I know because my mom still talks about the check coming from Trump.
Seriously, folks, she mentioned it again during our 4th of July celebration. I stupidly brought up how expensive everything was because of the Iran war and tariffs. She said, "I know, but remember the refund check we are going to get." I just stopped talking because you can't talk to MAGAs without them reminding you how great Trump is, despite all the failed promises and lies.
She'll probably continue to believe this check is coming until the next president is in office (if there is one), then blame that new president for stopping the checks.
