Just think about the elite QBs that are being paid 25-30 million PER YEAR. You can draft a potential great for 30-40 million for FIVE YEARS. The NFL Draft is like shopping the clearance racks after Christmas for these franchises.
After watching him sling the ball this week I can certainly see what the hype is about and that it ain't hype. THAT KID CAN BALL! Dude through it flat-footed 45 yards on a rope for that 2nd TD. He's legit.True, but BY is going pro in 3 years, so Alabama can redshirt him if they want, but it just translates to fewer snaps that you get from him while he is there.
I've heard that Chucky would take him at 12 without a second thought. He absolutely LOVES Tua! I don't think Oakland (Vegas-that will take some getting used to) sees Carr as the future but Miami and the Chargers are QB shopping and there are a LOT of indicators that the Cam era in Carolina is at an end. Guess we will know for sure in April but I'm thinking he's gone at #5 at the latest and that's assuming someone doesn't try to move up to get him which I still could see happening.Looking at that draft list, it's hard to see him falling out of the top 10.
Raiders fan here. It is beginning to "leak" that Gruden and Mike Mayock (GM) are looking at other options at the QB position. Carr hasn't been the same since he was injured two years ago. He plays scared. I can PROMISE YOU if Tua slides that far or close enough. The Raiders will do whatever it takes to get him.I've heard that Chucky would take him at 12 without a second thought. I also saw a mock draft that had that very thing happening. Tua going to the Saints, but it was down in the first round, pick 27 or 28 or so.So you think that the Saints draft Tua??? That's not out of the question...
If that happens, Tua made a huge mistake.I also saw a mock draft that had that very thing happening. Tua going to the Saints, but it was down in the first round, pick 27 or 28 or so.
That’s true. I wish he could land somewhere that won’t throw him right in there.Something tells me that the Chargers end up in the Tua sweepstakes..... and that's about as close to Hawaii as you can get and play pro ball.....
They are also going to need every ounce of marketability they can muster. They've been a total dud since moving to LA.Something tells me that the Chargers end up in the Tua sweepstakes..... and that's about as close to Hawaii as you can get and play pro ball.....
I believe Tua’s father has the same kind of attitude a lot of those parents in that Little Tykes football show (Netflix?) from a while back had. When the TV cameras show Galu and wife, you can tell by the way the man watches his son play that he is all business.I'm not super familiar with the culture and I'll try my best to ask this in a respectful way....
When are these young men allowed to make life decisions for themselves? I mean Tua is 21 and in a few months will be 22.
Do they get to pick their Wife? When they do have a Wife and Children of their own do they still have to defer to the Senior most Male in the family?
This whole dynamic is so completely foreign to me and I confess to just not understanding it at all.
Just as predicted. I don't know how many times it has to be said or just flat out proven. But LA is not a sports town. They are also going to need every ounce of marketability they can muster. They've been a total dud since moving to LA.
I wish he'd return, based on his draft grade. However, I don't think he's ever got over his feeling that he was misused and should have had more PT earlier. I think he's mentally through with college ball...I agree, but I think he will have a great year. If Najee stays, Alabama is going to be awesome! If Najee leaves, we have to see what these young RBs have. Your o-line looks to be the best in the country next year.
I hate to hear that.I wish he'd return, based on his draft grade. However, I don't think he's ever got over his feeling that he was misused and should have had more PT earlier. I think he's mentally through with college ball...
What they've done with the Rams/Chargers move and that, what is it now, 4 billion dollar stadium? will go down as the biggest boondoggle in American sports history.Just as predicted. I don't know how many times it has to be said or just flat out proven. But LA is not a sports town.
Well, one thing that LOVING fathers have is much more WISDOM. Tua seems like a very WISE and disciplined person, but his father has been around the block much longer and has much more wisdom just from experiences during that TIME on earth. Now, sometimes there are older fathers who are LACKING in WISDOM. Even the WISEST Man who ever lived sure made many MISTAKES: 700 wives and 300 concubines can do that to you, I think. But he did leave us a lot of WISE sayings to pass on to the next generation. And just from looking from OUTSIDE at that family, the PARENTS have done MUCH that is RIGHT in raising children into awesome adults. And they seem to be a family of TRUE FAITH. Many children REBEL against parents, but that shows lack of discipline, wisdom, focus, etc. It's going to be his father's. Believe me...
