I think it's a shame we have to burn $30,000 worth of jet fuel to cover a $100 text book.
Jet fuel is essentially kerosene. Jet-A probably costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $2.50 a gallon. A gallon of jet fuel weighs 6.7 pounds. Our little executive jet surely doesn't burn more than 1000lbs/hr. (A 727 with the gear and flaps out burns about 3000lbs/hr).

Flight time from Tuscaloosa to Indy is no more than 2 hours.

four hours = 4000 lbs fuel

4000 lbs divided by 6.7 = 597 gals

597 lbs X $2.50 = $1492.53

(Sorry Bayou. I know you are a pilot, too. Just picking on you...)

The issue of eligibility was not resolved today, however this was not due to the NCAA not being satisfied with Alabama but Alabama is not done with their investigation. Do not look for any of these guys to play. This is not bad news as far as the University goes just some incite into who will and won't be playing RTR.
It is possible that between now and game day one or two might get the go ahead to play. I'm not completely sure about this and I don't think at this moment anyone knows for sure but I have that bit of hope from good source.

So, can we expect the NCAA to lie to us and use our own voluntary self-reports and internal investigations as their sole sources of evidence to totally screw us over again?

I'm prepared for that. Don't think it will happen, but I wouldn't be shocked.

God I hate the NCAA.

It's a shame we couldn't have sent the info up there via "Islamic Terrorists Courier Service". The people who rule the roost at the NCAA are nothing but scumbags.

The NCAA is like the IRS, there are so many nick picky rules that they can lower the boom on just about anyone if they decide to audit. Right now I don't really believe the NCAA wants to lower the boom on Alabama, so nothing will become of this other than the suspensions.

In the grand scheme of things, I'd say it is a positive step. To me, this shows that the school is on top of things and is being proactive as much as they can.

This is Alabama. Going to the extreme due to NCAA investigators who are clueless and untrustworthy. A fat coach from UT who got caught lying and involved in multiple stabbings of a Program (Johnny Majors/Alabama Coaches/Alabama Football Program).

Former FBI agents working for the NCAA. Notice the word FORMER not Retired is stated when referring to those individuals. :p_arrow: Think about it.

Nothing really new here, but I though I'd throw out a link to an article written after the trip.

The school did not file a report with the governing body, and all indications are that five football players .— junior center Antoine Caldwell, sophomore running back Glen Coffee, junior guard Marlon Davis, and sophomore defensive backs Marquis Johnson and Carlos Rogers — will not play Saturday’s game against No. 3 LSU.

“What we went up there for had nothing to do with Saturday’s game,” Moore said after returning from the one-day trip.

Alabama’s investigation, which includes looking into every athlete in every sport from the past two years, in addition to the current academic year, will continue. No timetable exists for its completion, and no other athletes have been implicated.

There's some fear there, sure. But I think it's more a situation where the fear is rooted in hate.

It's rare, but it does happen.

I don't know where you got your prices but Jet-A fuel in the Atlanta area is around $4.00-$5.00 per gallon.
But it would be worth every penny to help resolve the situation!!
