Ucla fires Foster & VT fires Pry

UCLA fired DeShaun Foster after he started his second season as coach 0-3.

i’m thinking the player-to-Head ball coach route may need to be revisited. They were trying to follow Colorado but now even Colorado is questioning its decision.

Losing badly over and over will do that to you. Especially losing 35-10 to New Mexico...at home.

They could quite literally go 0-12. They aren't even competitive.

Looks like Brent Pry is gone at Virginia Tech as well. Losses at home to Old Dominion will do that to you.
 
Been reading that the Hokies have compounded problems.

They fired their HC three games into the season. But no quality coach will consider the job until he knows who his boss will be…which is in serious doubt.

The Hokie AD also hired Beamer’s replacement, Justin Fuente. In fairness, that looked like a decent hire at the time. But it turned out that Fuente wasn’t ready to make the move from Memphis to P5.

Replaced Fuente with Pry, who now also hasn’t worked out. And here we are.

If VT fires the AD, they have to have a replacement in the chair prior to starting the search for the HC. If they keep the AD, they go into the search for a HC with an AD who has one foot in the unemployment line and one on a banana peel.

They’re in a pickle.

They’ve eliminated ALL the truly qualified candidates, and are now limited to hoping a guy can make a jump he hasn’t proven he can make — kind of like the last two hires.

And they’re doing it with an AD who can be charitably described as winged.

No good options here.

My suggestion would be to fire the AD, get that job filled first, then start the search for a HC. No, it’s not perfect. But perfect isn’t an option, and I think it beats the alternative.

The only reason Prime was successful at Jackson State was because his name allowed him to land recruits that NEVER would have considered going to Jackson St. otherwise.

The money given to Travis Hunter didn’t hurt. He was always going to have his son at quarterback
 
I predict one or two more during the season before its all said and done. UCLA is a dumpster fire and VT is just really bad.

IMO, I do not see L. Kiffin going back to the west coast nor S. Beamer going back to VT.
 
I heard on the radio this morning that the players on UCLA and VT can now transfer and be eligible immediately, this year because they haven't played the fourth game . Maybe we can cherry pick a DLineman , OT or LB from their squads.
If this info is correct, why would any team fire their coach after three games ?

I'm hearing that UCLA has a next-level quarterback that's always on the market. Maybe we should look at him.

Karma's not real happy with you right now, and your situation in Westwood is her way of letting you know. She might or might not have more in store -- entirely her call. But due to what you and your dad said and did on the way out of Knoxville, I think she's probably not finished yet.

Players could not enroll in a school - unless it is on a quarter system and a quarter hasn't started yet. I doubt this is true and, if it is, it would be impracticable to transfer. Kinda hoping it is true and Ucla could get some more comeuppance - assuming they had anybody that would be desirable.

Mike Johnson , former Bama AA is the talking head that I heard. While he may get bad info , I trust what he says is accurate, he is far from a shock sensationalize type guy.

They didn't know of that possibility...? 🤔 😳

As BamaNation pointed out, they wouldn't be academically eligible.....so look for that to be yet another change to ruin CFB as we have always known it...😖
