UGA gameday thread II...

That was the first Bama basketball I've ever been to and I'm glad I drove 4 hours to see it. They had me worried at the start and amazed at the end.

I was so wrapped up in alabama coming back that i wasn't able to figure out who was on the floor during the comeback? I noticed that both Hollinger and Steele were in, so did that take out Gee or Riley, or did Hendrix or Davidson come out...
They took out a big player and had Gee at that spot. Hendrix, Davidson and I think Jemison played the center spot.

It can hurt on rebounding and if the other team has real good scorers in the post.

Definitely agree...that lineup would not work against FL or LSU, but against teams like Tenn and Ga I think it can be used in spots to change things up.

Speaking of rebounding....As big as Gee is and as athletic as he is, I don't understand why he doesn't get more defensive rebounds...He is a beast on the offensive boards, I guess since he is guarding perimeter players he's not in very good position to get the defensive board, especially since he is probably boxing out;)

Also, for those who were there in person for both...which was more exciting, or improbable, or whatever adjective you want to use, Today's game or last year's Vandy game? I watched both on TV and they are the only two times I have ever jumped out of my seat in awe while watching basketball...

The final play in regulation during the Vandy game last year was absolutely amazing. I was stunned that we pulled that play off. Hard for me to compare the two though...

Like someone mentioned earlier, the team just didn"t seem to have the life that it should have had. I'd be willing to bet that this would have been lost if it was a road game. There just was no life in them until the crowd got into it. I beleive it would have been a LOSS at Ga.

ROLL TIDE ROLL:) :) :) :BigA:

I'm glad Steele drained that shot but the reason we won was Hollinger. I don't know how the TV displayed it bc I was in Coleman, but Brandon absolutely got in Gaines head and Gaines got so rattled that he started jawing. I am so glad that Hollinger is so quick and energetic and he is the man.
