I believe "what goes around comes around." Next year, every SEC team the barners play should execute that same chop block on them at least once each game. When the boogs receive enough of what they themselves dish out they might eventually learn an important lesson.

I keep thinking there's a way to get even without turning into low-rent punk thugs like the Barn. But I haven't come up with that way yet...

I didn't watch the game, so I have a couple of questions.

1. Was any kind of penalty called?
2. What kind of comments did the announcers make?

The block against Dorsey looked bad enough, but on this one, it looked like the Aub center dragged the Clemson player around to present the side of the knee to the guy hitting low.

1) No Penalty

2) The commentators didnt say much of anything about it.

On a totally unrelated comment, did anyone think it was funny that Awbarn ran out at the same time as the chick-fil-a cows? MOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It probably wasn't seen by any of the officials, or it'd've been called. I watched it live and then several replays and I really don't buy that the AU player was already launched at the knees (the entire OL was cut blocking). He just decided to go for it - and he got away with it. Good decision from his standpoint...

I had the misfortune of watching the game last night at a party which was almost all barn fans and they were joking and bragging about knocking, possibly ending the careers, two high profile players out of games. They thought it was great.:conf2: I know all schools use this bocking technique but they don't do it to intentionally hurt other players. The barn is the only one I have seen this year get called for it.

You can't do that, you'd be possibly punishing some innocent kids. I think the best solution would be for the SEC ADs to band together and confront the barners on it. Also make dang sure that the officials know that they will be expected to police it closely or else. It's a crying shame that a coaching staff would stoop so low as to condone something like this.

Actually, the officials did call a penalty on the play. However, given 4th down, Clemson refused it.

Finally,

Yes a penalty was called. Earle.....please bear with me.

The ENTIRE offensive line, as many of you are saying, does not chop block. Both of this season's chop blocks were committed by the same player. That player is a freshman. I don't believe it is now, nor has it ever been "taught" at Auburn. I am a little upset the Hugh Nall allowed this to happen for the 2nd time in the same season.

I believe that this behavior was learned in high school. I think anyone who knows ANYTHING about the Hoover Defense under a certain coach would agree. As a mater of fact there is video of Coach Propst, telling his defense to "Kill Vestavia's Knees if they don't go down the first time" (Check the first season of 2-A-Days.)

If I remember correctly the first chop block was by Ziemba/Ramsey and the second by Pugh/don't know.

My opinion on this one is the same as it was after the Dorsey one; which I got criticized for. Unless they get kicked off the team by ctt (not likely) or the barn players who did it should be made to stand still and allow the same hit to be performed on them, so they can face the reality of never playing football again.
