I know that some people just sit at home on NYE, so this will keep them awake until the "ball drops". For them this is great. We are not one of those families. Not saying that you shouldn't be happy, but it really, really sucks for us and millions of other people across the country. I hope the ratings suck so they change this in subsequent years.

It's only the end of the year. It's not like it's Christmas Eve or something like that where people go to Mass, caroling, etc..... I never understood the Happy New year celebration myself. RTR!

Works for me! Our kids are young..so we never go out on NYE. I will love watching the Bama game with my husband and kids. A great way to bring in the new year.
