What is the FACE VALUE on the SEC Championship Game tickets this year?

Friend is going through the ordering process on TidePride, but all the postseason ticket orders are being ordered "blind" this year -- in other words, no pricing information until your card gets charged.

I'm trying to figure out what the face-value denominations are for the SEC Championship Game tickets, because if it's too much he won't be able to place the order (and he's not going to go through the trouble of ordering them for someone else or scalping them).

Thanks for the help.

I'm not high enough on the Tide Totals Totem Pole to get SEC tix, and not sure my groovy cool uncle will hook me up again this year.

For those of you who got tickets on the street last year, were they pretty easy to come by? I got Va. Tech tickets this year through TP, but did notice a lot of people selling about a mile from the dome.

Any help with past experience and $$ forked out would be mucho appreciated!

Word of caution there: I've been told that scalping is very illegal in Georgia, especially in the immediate vicinity of the Georgia Dome, and they mean it.

I've heard that if you stay 2-3 blocks away from the stadium, the cops won't bug you, but if you try to sell tickets at the dome itself you'll be going to jail.

I can save someone with 2 tickets the trouble of getting busted if they would call me and be willing to sell the tickets at face value. I've called everyone I know and it seems tickets are hard to come by. I'm going either way because I already have a room reserved, but won't be hijacked into paying a crazy price for tickets. I've actually given tickets away to a BAMA game to make sure BAMA fans go to the game when I couldn't. If anyone has 2 tickets they would make my wife the happiest person on earth as we haven't been able to go to a single game this year and her heart is set on this one. I can't afford a lot but am willing to pay. Email is rmiller9thdistrict@hotmail.com . If you want $500 per ticket don't bother to call.

Whether my wife and I make it in the stadium or not, Roll Tide Roll!!!!:BigA:

I have a room booked as well and was wondering the same thing about tickets on the street. I have about 150$ to spend. If I cant find a gracious bama fan or desperate scalper, I will be watching the game from a local establishment in the near proximity of the dome. If I cant find a ticket within that range, I may just call my bookie and bet Bama to cover for 150$.

This is very much so the case. I had an encounter with the authorities back at the '96 SECCG while attempting to dump 2 extra tickets for a friend.

10 years ago, I was trying to sell a ticket for face value outside the stadium and a cop approached me and gave me a warning not to do that. He told me to sell it off of Georgia Dome property. So be careful out there.

Good luck to those of you asking for tix at face value,,,, I have been scouring for tix to this one and $400 each is the BEST I have found so far.
